Background / History

Long Haochen grew up in Odin Town alongside his older brother, Long Haoyu. He is intensely driven to catch up with Haoyu, whom he admires for his strength, endurance, and willingness to shoulder burdens for their family. Seeing Haoyu endure harsher injuries without complaint motivates Haochen to train harder. 12 17 39

During Long Xingyu's harsh training, Haochen survived repeated confinement in an Owl Ant Nest, enduring wounds and exhaustion while measuring himself by whether he could last longer than before. 16 30

He initially committed himself to becoming a Guardian Knight despite Long Xingyu's preference for the Retribution Knight path. The Eternal Heroes of Knight Sacred Mountain were particularly interested in teaching him because of his 97-point Innate Internal Spiritual Power, though Haochen remained firm in his chosen path. 74 76

Long Haochen is earnest, compassionate, and highly determined. He takes knightly principles seriously, recounting his encounter with a Wolf Demon because the Ten Great Tenets compelled him to be truthful. 12

He is deeply family-oriented. His decision to dual cultivate came not from abandoning the Guardian Knight ideal, but from accepting that he needed offensive ability to protect those he considers family—including Haoyue. 98 99
