Niu Fuzhi brought his whole family to offer incense to Seventh Lord at the temple. Then, each carrying their tools, they went out to work in the fields.

They did not know that two people stood behind the statue. One was the Local Earth God, Pan Dehai. He knew the art of concealment, so ordinary people could not see him.

There was also an invisible sunflower growing behind the statue. At its center, a sunflower seed had grown into a small divine statue, standing silently upon the flower head and bending the stalk beneath its weight.

Pan Dehai gently plucked the little statue from the flower head. One seed was missing from the sunflower head.
