I basically said everything there was to say in the previous standalone post, so I'll just talk a little about the new book here.
The grand finale of Hundred Lifetimes takes place who knows how many years after the Red Heaven was rebooted. People no longer care about the world's past, while the new book is set roughly three or four hundred years after Yun Ye's assault by the Worldly God and his salvation of the world.
Yun Ye is one of the twelve legendary figures. The other legends are probably familiar faces too, though not all of them; reincarnation did not send everyone into the same era.
The new book is the story of True Spirit Masters. Its broad setting is that Yun Ye established the rules and used all the spiritual energy to create the Reverse World. People can no longer cultivate immortality and can only walk the path of True Spirit Masters. Thanks to the many rules Yun Ye established, this path is extremely complete. Everyone's starting point is basically the same: every True Spirit Master can awaken a Primordial True Spirit and then evolve it afterward.
The paths of evolution are infinite. All the ancient demons, heroic figures of humanity, and even the sealed True Immortals and Worldly Gods fall within the scope of what can evolve. It is essentially the product of the Heavenly Road's latest iteration. At the same time, one can also evolve independently and give birth to new powers. In short, there are a great many new things, so please don't retreat in defeat just because of the title and synopsis! I feel this is a very interesting new world!
At the same time, evolution in the new book can be either permanent or temporary, which is extremely interesting. I'm someone who pursues coolness above all else, and I felt that the later parts of Hundred Lifetimes had gone off course, so I didn't force myself to write a continuation and ended it directly with the seventh lifetime.
Just imagine evolving a powerful True Spirit under the gaze of countless people and using it to save the world—that's genuinely thrilling.
I can't explain the specifics clearly in a short while, and I'm still refining things myself, but there will definitely be plenty of sincerity behind it. The new work will also follow the power-progression and invincible-protagonist routes. Yun Ye won't be constantly facing enemies on an entirely different level like this time. There will also be a female lead this time. True Spirit Masters always work in pairs, one man and one woman, and that is another important setting.
In short, it's a very interesting story, and I hope everyone will enjoy it. I'll probably release the new book in March. Before then, I'll be resting and carefully refining the settings and outline. I can't rule out releasing it early. If I do, I'll post a standalone notice in Hundred Lifetimes to let everyone know. Of course, you can also bookmark it for now—the new book is already in the works section, though it doesn't even have a single chapter yet.
