The Primordial Sages Descend into the Netherworld

The nine layers of the Netherworld.

It had always been shrouded in dim, gloomy hues.

Yet on this day, the entire Netherworld radiated brilliant light.

Countless rays of laws illuminated this murky, shadowy space.

Treasure light shimmered like glass; nine-colored Buddhist light, pure clear qi, morning dawn, and the radiance formed from seven or eight Great Dao Laws filled this gray space in the forms of falling celestial flowers, rising golden lotuses, and sprouting sweet dew.

For a time, the Netherworld, once dominated by darkness, was swept clean of its underworldly gloom by the arrival of seven or eight Saints.

Countless deceased souls, bathed in the sacred radiance of celestial flowers and sweet dew, had their sins cleansed and their grudges dissolved.

When Saints appeared, sins vanished.

All that came before was as though yesterday had died; all that came after was as though today had come to life.

From now on, these departed souls would begin their new lives as spirits in the Netherworld Underworld.

Until their yin lifespan ran dry and they reached the end of life.

They would either enter Reincarnation or go to the Underworld.

It sounded like a slow process, but in truth, it all happened in an instant.

Moments later, all the Saints who had descended into the Netherworld sensed Goddess Houtu's utterly undisguised aura of the Six Paths of Reincarnation.

They then headed toward Goddess Houtu together.

"Goddess, why did you open the Netherworld Underworld and allow these Primordial Sages from above to enter?"
