Nature and Cosmic Order

The Great Dao encompasses the Three Thousand Great Daos. These Daos possess no inherent hierarchy; apparent distinctions arise only from the skill, comprehension, and circumstances of their wielders 110 287.

The Primordial World’s rankings of laws—such as Fate being placed above Karma—reflect the Heavenly Dao’s need to regulate the world rather than any absolute superiority among the Three Thousand Great Daos 110.

The Great Dao is distinct from the Heavenly Dao. The Heavenly Dao is the consciousness born from the Primordial World, while the Limitless Great Dao gives rise to the Innate Five Tai Great Daos, which in turn transition toward the Heavenly Dao 350 372.

Great Dao Sources

Great Dao Sources contain the origin, principles, knowledge, and divine abilities of a corresponding Dao. Refining one can grant direct comprehension without conventional study; Taiyi’s refinement of the Source of the Great Dao of Craft gave him artifact-forging knowledge and divine abilities as though he had been born knowing them 277.

A cultivator who fully controls a Great Dao Source becomes its master rather than merely borrowing its power. This distinction is central to Taiyi’s pursuit of mastery over numerous Dao Laws 718.

History

Pangu’s Defiance

Great God Pangu’s method of Prove Dao with Force required him to break free of the Great Dao’s restraints, refine Primordial Violet Qi, and seize his own Dao Fruit. This path granted permanent freedom from ordinary Heavenly Dao restrictions and placed him on a level comparable to the Great Dao Realm 25.

Pangu’s actions enraged the Great Dao. The Three Thousand Chaos Gods and Demons manifested to obstruct him, while later calamities were described as carrying a hidden intent to erase Pangu’s remaining influence and prevent his revival 25.

Early Primordial Manifestations

The Great Dao Heavenly Sound appeared during Hongjun’s ascent, carrying profound Dao principles and scenes from the Primordial Wilderness. Its celebration of the first Sage caused ancient beings, divine beasts, and myriad gods to emerge in praise 6 8.

The Golden Crow Scripture, the cultivation method of Taiyi and Dijun, was bestowed by the Great Dao and points directly toward the Sage Realm 24.

Return During the Great Dao Human Race’s Creation

When Nüwa created 129,600 members of the Primordial Human Race, Great Dao Merit descended rather than ordinary Heavenly Dao Merit. Taiyi concluded that the race possessed sufficient fortune to support a Sage of the Great Dao and had become a Great Dao Race 564.

The Great Dao then manifested openly after an absence lasting since Pangu’s creation of the world. Its pressure tested Taiyi and Nüwa as the Human Race transformed, but dissipated after the Great Dao acknowledged the Great Dao Human Race 564 566.

When the Path of Humanity was established, the Great Dao responded again: Great Dao Merit and Great Dao Primordial Violet Qi merged into a spiritual Path of Humanity 681.

Great Dao Heavenly Sound

The Great Dao Heavenly Sound contains boundless principles and information beyond ordinary comprehension.

Great Dao Will and Pressure

The Great Dao’s will can descend upon beings who reach or declare an exceptional Dao state.

Great Dao Primordial Violet Qi

Great Dao Primordial Violet Qi is superior to Heavenly Dao Primordial Violet Qi.

• It can grant a true Sage Seat of the Great Dao without the restraints and flaws associated with Heavenly Dao Sages 771.
