Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Reforged Primordial Continent | 275–276 | Heavenly Dao reunited the four continents, restored their mountains, rivers, and Sources of Law, and expended ten percent of the World Source to restore lost spiritual energy and foundation. |
| Chaos-energy replenishment | 333–334 | The Chaos-version Starry Sky Great Formation began converting external Chaos Qi into Primordial Spiritual Energy, allowing damaged spiritual roots and medicines to recover while slowing—or potentially dissolving—Epochal Calamities. |
| Initial Three Thousand Greater Worlds framework | 628 | Three Great Thousand Worlds and their attached Middle and Small Thousand Worlds began operating as a layered system around the Primordial World. |
| Completed defensive grand formation | 652 | All three thousand Greater Worlds were connected into the Primordial World’s first defensive grand formation; a continuous influx of world source began flowing back into the main world. |
| Foundation deepened through the True Dragon Great World | 713 | The Progenitor Dragon’s Great Thousand World assimilated extraterrestrial Dragon Race laws, prompting a further strengthening of the Primordial World’s foundation. |
Nature and Boundaries
| Aspect | Details |
|---|---|
| World level | A true Chaos Great World forcefully carved from Chaos Hongmeng by Great God Pangu. Unlike Sage-created Great Thousand World dojos, it can produce Sages. 618 |
| World Membrane | Beyond the Primordial Starry Sky lies an immeasurably thick World Membrane containing Space-Time Storms and celestial gales. Crossing it requires at least Grand Luo Golden Immortal cultivation. 12 |
| External environment | Beyond the membrane is the Chaos Void, also called the Chaos Sea. Its Chaos Energy erodes flesh, Primordial Spirits, and true souls; even Grand Luo Golden Immortals require protection for extended travel. 12 |
| World consciousness | Its Heavenly Dao is an aggregation of fundamental world rules. The world’s complete consciousness and authority vastly exceed the portion wielded by Heavenly Dao Hongjun. 104 677 |
| Yin–yang structure | The Primordial Continent is the yang side where all things grow, while the Blood Sea Netherworld is the yin side that receives the souls of beings. 593 |
History
Creation and early calamities
The Primordial World was created from Chaos by Great God Pangu. Its later history was marked by major Epochal Calamities, including the Dragon-Han Calamity, which left portions of the land lifeless. A subsequent influx of vitality restored some of those deadened regions but also threw the Heavenly Mechanism into disorder, preventing many great cultivators from accurately divining destiny. 12 618
The world’s influence has repeatedly been tied to the legacy of Pangu. Epochal Calamities such as the Witch–Demon conflict and the Investiture of the Gods are described as having weakened Pangu’s surviving bloodline, Primordial Spirit lineage, and broader influence. 25
Reunification of the Primordial Continent
After the Primordial Continent was divided, Heavenly Dao initiated its reconstruction. Tongtian, Nüwa, Jieyin, and Zhunti suppressed disasters across the four seas while Heavenly Dao sorted the continent’s chaotic laws, Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. 275
The final reorganization reunited the four continents into their Dragon-Han-era form. Their geography, mountains, rivers, and Sources of Law were restored, and the continent regained the spiritual-energy abundance associated with its ancient golden age. 276
Great Dao Human Race and world ascension
Nüwa’s creation of 129,600 Primordial Humans culminated in the Human Race’s transformation into the Great Dao Human Race. The manifestation of the Great Dao drew the attention of outside observers, who regarded a Great Dao race as a sign that the Chaos World could rise by an additional power level. 564 674
Expansion into the myriad worlds
A shortage of Primordial World Source made the birth of new Hunyuan Sages difficult, prompting the opening of the Three Thousand Greater Worlds. These Greater Worlds, together with their Middle and Small Thousand World satellites, were designed as a stable, continuously operating cosmological system. 618 628
Once completed, the Three Thousand Greater Worlds formed a defensive grand formation around the Primordial World and began returning world source to it. 652
Extraterritorial incursions and mergers
The Primordial World later faced incursions through Chaos Corridors, which destabilized the Primordial Continent and caused Small Thousand Worlds to collapse into the Chaos Void. 692
During the conflict with the Dragon Lord and Martial Lord, Taiyi permitted the Dragon World and Martial World to merge into the Primordial World rather than resisting their entry. Both incoming worlds possessed origins and Chaos foundations comparable to the Primordial Continent. 696
Three Thousand Greater Worlds System
| Layer | Structure |
|---|---|
| Central world | The Primordial World serves as the core of the system. 628 |
| Greater Worlds | Three thousand Greater Worlds orbit the Primordial World. Each is comparable to a cosmic starfield. 628 653 |
| Middle Thousand Worlds | 129,600 Middle Thousand Worlds encircle the Greater Worlds and are likened to superclusters of galaxies. 653 |
| Small Thousand Worlds | Countless Small Thousand Worlds exist within the system, comparable in scale to Milky Way-sized heavens and earths. 653 |
| Defensive role | The connected Greater Worlds constitute the Primordial World’s first defensive grand formation and continuously send world source inward. 652 |
Associated Entities
- Great God Pangu — Creator of the Primordial World; the world was carved from Chaos Hongmeng through Pangu’s heaven-opening act. 618
- Heavenly Dao — The world’s rule-based consciousness. It reforged the Primordial Continent and later used the Starry Sky Great Formation to replenish world energy. 276 334
- Hongjun — Formerly sought to seize the Primordial World as a private possession and restrict its development, but was backlashed when Heavenly Dao took control. 333
- Taiyi — Directed the construction of the Three Thousand Greater Worlds system and later gained supreme authority over the entire Primordial World as the Primordial Overgod. 628 776
- Nüwa — Created the Great Dao Human Race and opened Creation Heaven, a Great Thousand World-scale dojo. 564 577
- Houtu — Established the Netherworld, an incomplete yin-aspect world dependent on the Primordial World, and governed its Six Paths of Reincarnation. 584 586
- Progenitor Dragon — Established the True Dragon Great World, whose assimilation of extraterrestrial Dragon Race laws further strengthened the Primordial World. 712 713
Trivia
- A Rivers and Mountains Map can replicate the Primordial World’s terrain, laws, mountains, rivers, earth veins, and living ecology so precisely that inhabitants may not realize they have entered a miniature imitation. 13 250
- The four seas are so vast that even a Great Thousand World could not contain one. 275
- The Space-Time Spirit Clan states that the Primordial World has been destroyed eight times before, while its space-time node continued evolving into new Chaos Worlds. 797
