Background / History

Hua Nu is an ancient sentient rose and one of Huangquan's attendants. Despite her human appearance, she has never been able to bring herself to like humans. When Huangquan's home at the Peak of the Other Shore became the center of conflict, Huangquan dismissed the other Flower People and hid in the Flower God Ring with Hua Nu and Little Grass. They remained there until Qin Xiangyi activated the ring. 2

Following the ring's activation, Hua Nu introduces Xiangyi to Huangquan and explains that the Flower God needs the Flower Master's help to return to the Upper Realm. She then guides Xiangyi through the process of transferring Spiritual Power to Huangquan and creating the first new Flower Person, Shaoyao. 2 3

Though she addresses Xiangyi as “Flower Master” and calls herself an old servant, Hua Nu does not immediately trust her. Xiangyi's rapid mastery of cultivation techniques and inexplicable familiarity with ancient arts lead Hua Nu to suspect that Xiangyi may be connected to someone from her past. 10 17 22

She is highly flirtatious and fond of suggestive teasing, earning the SSR skill title “Old Driver.” Much of this behavior is deliberate: she tests Xiangyi's reactions, attempts to influence Huangquan's understanding of intimacy, and enjoys unsettling others with ambiguous remarks. 3 5 11

Behind her smiles, Hua Nu is guarded, sharp-tongued, and potentially ruthless.
