Returning to the Abyss

"Welcome aboard. My teacher and I probably won't be spending much time in the old Pioneer Zone, so I'll have to trouble you two to help with some of the day-to-day affairs."

Tao Yu spoke to Madam Long and Long Yin'er in a rather reserved, businesslike tone.

"It's our honor."

Madam Long gave a graceful bow.

Tao Yu was now publicly recognized as a Catastrophe-level genius and was also a Saint's disciple, so he deserved this kind of respect.

Long Yin'er, however, kept looking him over curiously. Somewhat puzzled, she asked, "Mr. Tao, I wonder if you know Mr. Klein."

"Klein's a friend of mine. We're on very good terms."

Tao Yu answered sincerely. He wasn't lying, though how she interpreted that was up to her.

Sun Shiyu, who had come out with Tao Yu to welcome the two women, watched him with bright, thoughtful eyes. Then she made a rather subtle expression.

Her voice reached Tao Yu's ear.

"The Klein who appeared at the provincial capital back then was you, wasn't it?"

When Tao Yu didn't respond, she continued, "Was it good?"

Her teasing tone made Tao Yu feel a rush of heat, but also left him speechless. As expected of someone with Abyssal succubus blood...

"We've already been taken to the Sun Family's estate in the Abyss, so you don't need to worry about our safety. We can even do some gardening in the courtyard when we're bored. Just take care of yourself."

Tao Long looked at his child with a sigh. Tao Yu's talent had awakened impressively well back then, and he'd known Tao Yu would change the fate of their whole family.

But he hadn't imagined things would change this much.

He'd thought that being able to move into the Inner City together would be
