Background / History

When the Abyss first targeted the Real World, its World Will instinctively awakened and granted humanity the means to resist. It empowered people to awaken Talents, enter Abyssal rifts as Pioneers, and collect Wish Power—resources that both strengthen individuals and sustain the World Will's resistance. 1

The prolonged conflict with the Abyss left the Real World fractured. Gray Mist spread across the land, isolating cities and shelters, while the World Will continued maintaining a diminishing balance against the invasion. 1

Over time, the World Will adapted the Real World to Abyssal conditions. It expanded the world's compatibility with the Abyss while repairing damage, maintaining barriers, and arranging concept gods to protect critical regions. 973

Disposition and Operating Principles

The Real World's World Will has no evident emotions or personal temperament. Tao Yu describes it as a cold, program-like Heavenly Dao: capable of making plans and weighing information, but not acting from anger, affection, or personal bias. 973

It acts according to the world's preservation and long-term stability. When Tao Yu presented a plan beneficial to the Real World, it weighed the proposal and granted him extensive authority rather than merely offering power as a reward. 1097

• It is difficult to deceive because it can independently gather information and cross-reference events against submitted evidence. 973

Awakening and Pioneer Empowerment

The World Will enables people to understand their Talents and skills after Awakening Day through non-textual information transmitted directly into their minds. It also allows them to use Wish Power for accelerated training and improvement. 1 3

Rule Suppression

The World Will suppresses the manifestation of excessive power within its own world as a form of self-protection. Stronger outsiders and high-level beings experience this restriction more intensely. 24

Different worlds impose different levels of suppression. Upon entering an independent world, Tao Yu experienced restrictions on his body, True Essence, magic power, and Mental Power until he could gradually integrate with local rules. 429

When Tao Yu supplied evidence concerning the Emperor's failed attempt to subjugate Evil Gods, the World Will verified the information and rewarded him with a substantially greater infusion of refined Wish Power. 973

Concept Gods and the Abyss Great Wall

The World Will delegates portions of its power to concept gods. In one world fragment, a sentient World Will created concept gods to maintain balance and gather world power; the Real World likewise relies on concept gods as enforcers and defenders. 858 973

Limitations and Pressures

The World Will's authority is greatest within the Real World and weaker toward the Endless Sea and the Abyss Great Wall, where it must rely more heavily on concept gods. 973

It faces escalating pressure as the Real World expands and Abyssal erosion intensifies. God Kings serve as part of the outer-sea deterrence system because the World Will requires powerful allies to maintain its defensive order. 1072

Although it can suppress intruders and repair damage, sufficiently powerful entities can strain or temporarily resist a World Will's control. Prince Mak'zul forced his way into the A Song of Ice and Fire world through an Abyssal altar and contested that world's Will before being killed by Tao Yu. 873 874
