Clearing the Field

"Oh, shit! That guy just up and left, dumping a mountain of shit on us? That's outrageous!"

Tony stared at the Tablet of Life in the lab, muttering nonstop.

But his hands kept moving, typing something into the air and having J.A.R.V.I.S. run the calculations.

Nearby, Banner was slowly munching on cookies and shrugging as he said,

"Maybe Sorcerer Jack is saving the world?"

After all, he'd already driven off aliens in outer space.

"Besides, aren't genes beautiful in their own way? They're simply a marvel."

Banner was also using J.A.R.V.I.S. to run some operations at a leisurely pace. His main field was gamma rays, but because of his own condition, he'd discussed plenty of biology with The Leader.

He was enjoying himself immensely.

"This is definitely the most ridiculous code I've ever seen. Not enough nerves? Add a few brains. Insufficient blood supply? Add a few hearts. How does this code even run..."

Tony looked at the octopus's genetic code data and could only sigh in exasperation.

These genes were even more complex than a human's. They looked incredibly massive, and their results seemed impressive, but to him they were just a mountain of messy code—like an elephant trying to walk on one leg.

"Oh, buddy, I brought you guys something good."

Just as Tony was muttering away, Tao Yu's voice rang out in the lab.

After being away from Earth for a while, Tao Yu had returned to Stark's lab.

"Well, look who's back. You didn't even say hello. Where'd you go..."

Tony punched Tao Yu in the chest, grumbling.

But then he realized his fist hurt a little. It seemed he'd come off worse.

"I went to deal with the numbers you hate most. I brought back some interesting data."

As Tao Yu spoke, J.A.R.V.I.S. chimed in.
