There weren't many Vengeful Spirit passengers on the Midnight Subway, only seven or eight, along with the corpse lying by the subway doors. There were men and women, and every Vengeful Spirit passenger looked exhausted and tense. Yet they all stood in the corners; not one dared sit down and rest.
"Seriously... why aren't any of these Vengeful Spirits sitting down?" Fujiwara Chika asked, puzzled. "There's nothing on the seats."
"Um..." the short-haired female player reasoned, "could something terrifying happen if you sit down?"
At that, the Blonde hot girl went pale and nervously glanced toward the seats.
She'd just sat down. Did that mean something terrifying would happen to her soon?
"Human, you sat on something you shouldn't have." The Female vengeful spirit, still busy adding tally marks to her thigh, looked up with a gleeful sneer. "I'll be waiting for you. Soon, we'll be the same."
The Blonde hot girl went even paler. She tightly gripped her left wrist with her right hand, biting her lower lip without a word.
At the same time,
a strange buzzing vibration sounded through the subway again, as if electricity were surging through it. The train began to slow, and the lights quickly dimmed.
"Natsuki-classmate." Fujiwara Chika suddenly spoke, her expression serious. "What would happen if we used our Combination Skill on Haimeng-chan?"
"I don't know," Amamiya Natsuki replied promptly, "but we can try."
Until now, they'd only used Sweep away evil on Vengeful Spirits. They really had never tested it on a human.
"Outlaw Zhang San." Fujiwara Chika's expression turned solemn as she pointed at the Blonde hot girl. "I'll call out to you. Do you dare answer?"
