Mrs. Kaguya nodded slightly and quickly clung to Amamiya Natsuki.
"She really is a Vengeful Spirit."
The blonde hot girl, Kitagawa, widened her eyes.
She was still struggling desperately, while everyone else had already started controlling Vengeful Spirits. They weren't even playing the same game!
"Haimeng-chan, Sister Azhu isn't a Vengeful Spirit," Fujiwara Chika said quickly. "I'll add you to the group in a bit. We can explain everything once you're in."
Shinomiya Kaguya's capitalist empire had yet to be established, but Fujiwara Chika had already managed to form a Player Mutual Aid Society... though it was currently just a small group with a few Newbie Players.
Ten seconds passed in the blink of an eye. There was no time to say much more before everything went black.
After a slight dizzy spell, Amamiya Natsuki came to and found himself back on the crowded train.
He glanced down at his phone. Exactly one minute had passed.
The ten-second exit period... was probably there to give players time to compose their expressions, so they wouldn't suddenly start crying or screaming and suffer Social Death.
"Mm..." Fujiwara Chika blinked, then looked around. She leaned close to Amamiya Natsuki's ear and whispered, "We're back?"
Amamiya Natsuki nodded slightly and pressed his fingers to his brow. "Today really wasn't a good day to go out."
His body wasn't tired, but the mental exhaustion was unavoidable.
"Earlier, it said we'd triggered a special scenario. Could it have been this train?"
Fujiwara Chika suddenly realized.
"Very likely," Amamiya Natsuki replied quietly. "It might even have been this very carriage."
"I'd rather not think about it." Fujiwara Chika shook her head and took out her bloodstained notebook. "I'll add Haimeng-chan to the Mutual Aid Society first. I can't believe Haimeng-chan goes to the same school as us.
