If no one came out within twenty-four hours—in other words, if the entire team was wiped out—the Bureau would send in a second batch of players.

If the second batch was wiped out as well, the hotel would be sealed off completely and left for later.

The journey passed in silence.

"I'm back."

Amamiya Natsuki opened the door and stepped inside.

"Welcome back..." Shinomiya Kaguya saw Haruno and paused. "Haruno-senpai?"

"Kaguya-chan, sorry to intrude." Yukinoshita Hiyori waved and smiled. "I need to get a good night's rest so I'm ready for tomorrow's operation, so I'm borrowing your place for the night."

Shinomiya Kaguya asked curiously, "Tomorrow's operation?"

"Maybe we'll get a call from Miss Mitsui soon, saying the operation was a complete success, and that Yukino and the others defeated the Hotel Supernatural Story and returned victorious."

Unfortunately, Miss Mitsui's call never came, even by evening.
