Seeing that the crisis had been resolved, Fourth Uncle's lips curled with a touch of pride and smugness as he replied to Lu Feng:

Hearing such familiar words, Tang Yuan could not help but suppress an amused smile. Fourth Uncle's "casual" tone was clearly imitating Lu Feng's earlier manner.
But amusement aside, when Old Lu spoke in that tone, Tang Yuan did not find it particularly noteworthy. Coming from Fourth Uncle, however, it carried a somewhat punchable quality.
With the tent-like earthen mound holding firm, the group evaded the threat above them, but their pace was greatly reduced. They could only inch forward, crawling along like turtles.
As they shifted positions, everyone was astonished to discover that an earthen mound still remained in the area they had originally occupied.
