Background / History

Chu Youwei is the daughter of Chu Xuanyi and Meng Qiutong. Her parents met after Chu Xuanyi rescued Meng Qiutong from mountain bandits near Ken Yu Village, later falling in love and marrying. Elder Gongxi eventually reveals that Meng Qiutong was induced by Chu Xuanhe to steal part of the Lin Family’s secret key; Chu Xuanyi killed her after discovering the betrayal, then later took his own life to protect his principles and the Lin Family’s secret. 2063

After her parents’ deaths, Chu Youwei remained devoted to her younger brother, Chu Youren.
