Background / History

Forresten is a mage originally associated with Willondon who later became identified with Starlight. By the time of his arrival in Helurando, he is widely recognized for his kindness and has a long-standing friendship with the renowned Forest Hunter Wickel Auston. The two reunite warmly after Wickel returns from Borett. 30

He investigates the black mist contaminating Eisole Forest and the resulting berserk wild boars. Concerned that age may prevent him from continuing his work, he expresses a wish for someone to inherit his legacy and carry on the progress connected to his “Starfall.” 31

While searching for Fatenai after wolves carry her away, Forresten guides Wickel, Helise, and Hubert through the forest. He is surprised when Fatenai releases white light from her hands, revealing hidden magical ability. 33

Afterward, Forresten brings Fatenai toward Starlight University and recognizes her potential as a mage. He later transports the group through a light portal concealed at a beech tree, leading them into Starlight. 34 38

At Starlight, Forresten intervenes when Shirey loses control of her mana. He saves Fatenai, extracts the Leiber possessing Shirey, and challenges Fatenai to consider what being a mage truly means. 49
