Background / History

Tang San grew up in Sacred Soul Village as Tang Hao's son and secretly practiced the Mysterious Heaven Skill before understanding the continent's Soul Master system. He was less than half a month younger than Zhuang Xingyu, placing the two in the same generation. Zhuang Xingyu considered him a future threat because of his potential opportunities and Tang Hao's feud with the Zhuang family 3 4.

At age five, Tang San was ambushed while training alone behind Sacred Soul Village. Zhuang Xingyu restrained and drugged him, permanently mutilated him, and shattered his dantian, crippling the inner force he had cultivated through the Mysterious Heaven Skill. A black-golden cloud of Pseudo Fortune prevented Zhuang Xingyu from delivering a lethal blow 6 7. Tang San concealed the assault from Tang Hao, began resenting his father's neglect, and swore revenge against his unknown attacker 8.

He later awakened with Innate Soul Power Level 8, enrolled at Nuoding Academy, and became Yu Xiaogang's disciple. His altered condition made him avoid Xiao Wu despite their association, while his attempts to restore a masculine appearance gradually gave him ape-like features 21.

Zhuang Xingyu later removed Tang San's prospects of recovering the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline by taking the Blue Silver Emperor's origin and destroying the Blue Silver King and Blue Silver Forest. Tang San's Blue Silver Grass was consequently left as an ordinary, weakened martial soul 8 47.

After Zhuang Xingyu kidnapped Xiao Wu and framed her through a forged note, Tang San blamed her for the attacks on himself and Yu Xiaogang. He killed a guard, assaulted fellow students, harassed girls while searching for Xiao Wu, and was expelled from Nuoding Academy. Tang Hao helped Tang San and Yu Xiaogang leave for Shrek Academy ahead of schedule 50.

When news spread that the Extreme Yin Yang Leopard Clan had executed Tang Hao as a traitor, Tang San did not realize the condemned man was his father. He publicly praised Tang Hao's death while resenting the clan for taking the glory and Spirit Bones that he believed should have belonged to him 88.

Dongfang Ao Xie later planted Tang San with a Demonic Seed and drew him into the Dongfang Divine Cult. The seed eventually matured, turning Tang San into an Evil Soul Master; Dongfang Ao Xie then gave him the West Demon Sacred Scripture, which taught him to devour life force and Soul Power 92 150 151 152. By the Barak preliminaries, Tang San led the Fencing Team to a tournament berth, but sustained severe internal injuries while defeating Canghui Academy's seven-person fusion skill 194.

With the Xiwai Divine Cult facing destruction, Tang San revealed that he had received the Sea God's inheritance. He planned to defect with several Shrek companions, travel to Sea God Island, and eventually become the Sea God 207.

Appearance

Tang San's appearance changes markedly after his childhood assault and subsequent attempts to compensate for it with a substance obtained from Ape Soul Beasts.

Personality

Tang San is intensely vengeful and prone to treating perceived slights, betrayal, or knowledge of his secrets as grounds for retaliation. After Xiao Wu's disappearance, he directs his anger at classmates, academy staff, and strangers associated with her 50.

He possesses a highly inflated image of his own morality. Upon hearing of Tang Hao's execution, he calls himself the only person qualified to judge Tang Hao, while simultaneously coveting the dead man's reputation and Spirit Bones 88.

Although he outwardly submits to Dongfang Ao Xie, Tang San retains autonomy despite the Demonic Seed's influence. He privately judges Dongfang Ao Xie as an enemy and later uses higher-level Demonic Energy to influence Dai Mubai and others into joining his escape plan 151 207.
