Background / History

The clan originated as the Pure Yang Sacred Leopard Clan, based in Pure Yang Sacred Leopard City west of Tianshui City in the northern Heaven Dou Empire. Its inherited martial soul was the Pure Yang Sacred Leopard. The clan’s founder became a Titled Douluo roughly five centuries earlier, and two additional Titled Douluo emerged more than 150 years ago; their deaths about thirty years before the story left the clan in decline 12.

Although located inside Heaven Dou territory, the clan retained absolute autonomy through a cooperative arrangement with the empire. It accepted the title of Pure Yang Sacred Leopard Duke, administered the fifty-five-kilometer radius around its city, and could borrow imperial troops in a crisis. After Zhuang Xingyu awakened Innate Full Soul Power, the empire expanded the fief to an eighty-kilometer radius and granted him the title Marquis of Pure Yang Sacred Leopard 12 16.

Zhuang Xingyu’s awakening of the mutated Extreme Yin Yang Leopard martial soul marked the clan’s resurgence. He was made Young Clan Leader, with status equal to a Core Clan Elder, and received the Young Pure Yang Sacred Leopard Ring 15. The Dark Vein later rejoined the public Bright Vein, revealing that the clan had secretly been divided into two mutually supporting branches for over five centuries 51.

The clan reasserted authority over the Northern Plains by accepting loyal subordinate forces, rewarding the Flying Horse Clan, and massacring former subordinate forces that had betrayed it during its decline 66. It subsequently eliminated Spirit Hall’s branch presence in the Northern Plains and gained continent-wide influence through its conflict with Spirit Hall 70 186.

At its celebration, the clan formally renamed itself the Extreme Yin Yang Leopard Clan, displaced the Clear Sky Sect from the Upper Three Sects, and was recognized by the majority of the Soul Master world as the number one sect under heaven 74 75. It then secured the Northern Plains as its core territory and obtained direct control of a further 120-kilometer border zone, with Heaven Dou and Star Luo accepting the new arrangement 75.

The clan destroyed the Clear Sky Sect through an infiltration operation led by Zhuang Xingyu while disguised as Tang Xian. It poisoned the sect’s personnel, captured Tang Xiao, and later publicly displayed the Clear Sky Sect’s remains and its own seven Titled Douluo as a warning to other factions 122 124.

The clan’s original city was divided into four districts:

• Outer City — Home of Outer Disciples, ordinary legion families, and markets.
• Inner City — Residence of elders, protectors, Core Disciples, and Inner Disciples.
• Core City — Residence of Core Clan Elders, clan elders, and direct disciples.
• City Lord’s Mansion — Reserved for the direct lineage; Zihan also resided there due to her talent and connection to Zhuang Xingyu 12.

After becoming the continent’s leading clan, it declared all of the Northern Plains its core controlled territory. External major powers were forbidden from establishing a presence there, while merchants, independent cultivators, and ordinary people were encouraged to settle and develop in the region 75 76.

Martial Soul Inheritance

The clan’s inherited martial soul is the Pure Yang Sacred Leopard, an assault-type leopard martial soul regarded as no weaker than the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon 16.

The Extreme Yin Yang Leopard is a more powerful beneficial mutation of the Pure Yang Sacred Leopard. It has a predominantly gold body marked with black and white, sharp fangs and claws, blazing eyes, and a Primordial Aura capable of bloodline suppression 13 19.
