After Huang Minzhi revealed that Izpalut had become the Magic God, Lu Cang and the others learned that Original Taboo Users hunted gods who denied the Source. They believed Izpalut had fallen, but Chen Xiyao revealed that Izpalut had killed the Original Taboo User.

• Lu Cang used Time Cage to slow a mage whose magic went out of control after hearing Huang Minzhi's answer about the Source.
• Huang Minzhi explained why the truth could endanger mages and said Original Taboo Users killed Magic Gods who denied the Source.
• Chen Xiyao sensed Izpalut fighting the Original Taboo User, and Lu Cang warned Izpalut about the threat through their mingling magic power.

Lu Cang learned that Izpalut had become the Magic God and shut the Original Taboo Users out of the Divine Kingdom, then continued through the Sky of Answers with the others. Elsewhere, Luluwei recognized Yuna as her guide and remembered the boy who might have surpassed everyone.

• Yog's intelligence reassured Lu Cang that Izpalut had survived and shut the Original Taboo Users out of the Divine Kingdom.
• Chen Xiyao told the group that Izpalut had shut the Original Taboo Users out, and Huang Minzhi suggested they continue their journey.
• The group followed the lamp through a winding corridor of stars, and Lu Cang briefly glimpsed an unidentifiable streak of light.
• Yuna explained to Luluwei that she was both her guide and answerer in the Sky of Answers.

Luluwei and Yuna shared their past journeys and discussed their search for Lu Cang and Leng Qingying as they traveled through the strange maze. Meanwhile, Lu Cang and Sheng Yi spoke about the answers they sought before their group encountered Huang Minzhi beside a mass of rotting flesh.

• Yuna told Luluwei how she survived a deadly sea of fog before reaching the Tower of Sages and later became one of Yog's chosen outer disciples.
• Luluwei recounted searching for Lu Cang, losing contact with Leng Qingying, and telling Kumiloni that both of them had disappeared.
• Luluwei said she hoped to find Lu Cang in the maze, while Yuna privately thought Luluwei was seeking a different answer.
• Sheng Yi told Lu Cang that he did not know what answer he wanted, and Lu Cang said he sought the truth about the Source and his origins.

Lu Cang followed Kumiloni through the shifting space and suspected Sophia had taken control of her. As Kumiloni prepared to leave, Lu Cang used Chen Xiyao’s lantern to reach her and sealed her.

• Lu Cang hid from Kumiloni after seeing that approaching her directly would send him into another space.
• Airosa questioned Kumiloni about resurrecting and altering monsters in the Abnormal Nest, and Kumiloni admitted to resurrecting them.
• Xiu Mi asked whether Kumiloni planned to side with the monsters, but Kumiloni refused to explain herself.
• Lu Cang used Moon Star’s power to make the group forget him, took Chen Xiyao’s lantern, and hurried toward Kumiloni.

Lu Cang found Kumiloni and questioned her about Sophia, discovering that Kumiloni was working with the Moon Star under a binding contract. Kumiloni explained a plan to prevent death and reincarnation, leaving Lu Cang to wonder whether she was trying to create a world without death.

• Lu Cang confined Kumiloni in a One Realm Cage and emerged from the gray mist to meet her.
• Kumiloni joyfully reunited with Lu Cang and said she had not seen him for ten years.

Lu Cang learned that Kumiloni sought the origin of life and planned to connect the Underworld to the mortal world, but he chose to trust her and let her go. He promised to visit Izpalut, whose rise to become the Magic God might be tied to the prophecy that the Source would be reformed in August 5036.

• Kumiloni told Lu Cang she was searching for the origin of life and that studying mutation might reveal the fifth step of life.
• Lu Cang said he had come to save several people, and Kumiloni asked him to let her leave so she could connect the Underworld to the mortal world and plant the Tree of Wisdom.

• Lu Cang let Kumiloni leave because he could not bring himself to imprison or fight her, despite wanting answers about his origins.
• Lu Cang wandered through the tangled space, learned through Secret Origin that its answers were projections originating from Yog, and returned to Sheng Yi and the others.
• Lu Cang gave Chen Xiyao her lantern back, and she wondered whether he was connected to the mysterious Moon Star of the first month.

Lu Cang explained why he trusted Kumiloni while Airosa and Xiu Mi agreed to focus on rescuing Xisha and the others rather than confront him. In the Divine Kingdom, Izpalut resisted the Original Taboo Users, but they sealed his realm and trapped him until their full descent.

• Airosa told Lu Cang she wanted to stop the Nest and asked what price Kumiloni planned to pay for her wish, while Xiu Mi challenged his trust in her.
• Lu Cang revealed that Kumiloni intended to open a passage between the Underworld and the living world and plant the Tree of Wisdom, but said he would not help hunt her and would keep fighting monsters.

Lu Cang and his companions encountered Aertemi’s avatar, who sealed off their escape and attacked them. Aertemi overpowered Airosa by turning her own body against her, while Lu Cang’s fate remained unresolved.

• Sheng Yi left Lu Cang’s group with Chen Xiyao after the six companions stopped at an invisible barrier.
• Lu Cang’s group found shriveled bodies beneath a blackened tree and spotted Aertemi’s skinless avatar approaching them.
• Aertemi sealed the group inside walls of stitched skin and asked Yog which of them had the perfect skin she wanted.
• Xiu Mi and Airosa attacked Aertemi with a Rank Eight Hunter Trap and Airosa’s Art of War, but Aertemi survived being pulverized.
• Aertemi emerged from Airosa’s abdomen and caused Airosa to cut herself in half, then made her lower body attack her upper body.

Aertemi searched for the perfect skin Yog had promised, hoping to escape the threat of Aromochi and regain her strength. After dismissing Xiu Mi and Huang Minzhi, she was attacked by a young man wielding a purple blade.

• Aertemi recalled trading her perfect skin to Yog and risking a fall from the God Realm to find a stronger body before Aromochi could forge her into a divine weapon.
• Aertemi identified Xiu Mi as a talented hunter but rejected her skin, then split Xiu Mi apart with her authority.
• Aertemi tested Huang Minzhi and concluded he was not the person Yog had promised her.
• Aertemi grew angry and searched the area again, questioning whether Yog had lied.

Lu Cang confronted Aertemi, using fate, cause-and-effect manipulation, and manifested weapons to kill her apparent incarnation. Aertemi unleashed her true godly power, and Lu Cang welcomed the chance to test himself against her as another figure charged through his elemental defenses.

• Lu Cang isolated Aertemi from Airosa, Xiu Mi, and Huang Minzhi, then used Fate Compulsion to force Aertemi out of hiding.
• Aertemi recognized Lu Cang from the Ruin Continent and attacked, but Lu Cang struck her by reversing the cause and effect that guaranteed her death.

Aertemi trapped Lu Cang inside her Divine Kingdom, where her authority peeled away his body and neutralized his attacks. Lu Cang’s attempt to strike her Death Date was interrupted, and Aertemi began taking his skin to create a copy of him.

• Aertemi used the Devourer of Magic Skin to weaken Lu Cang’s magic and enclosed him in her Divine Kingdom, Inner World Beneath the Shed Skin.
• Lu Cang’s attacks cracked the Divine Kingdom’s flesh, but its authority stripped away his skin and prevented his healing from restoring it.
• Lu Cang formed One Realm Cage and combined his illusory figures to aim a decisive attack at Aertemi’s Death Date while completing the blueprint for Aertemi: Skinning Blade.
• Aertemi explained that Lu Cang could not destroy her vast skin-body, then seized the trembling core of his attack and stopped him from completing it.

Aertemi took Lu Cang’s skin but discovered she had become an empty shell, leaving her vulnerable to the real Lu Cang, who returned in an infant’s body. Lu Cang destroyed Aertemi and her final attempt to rebuild her Divine Kingdom, then felt the battle’s end could help him advance as a Warrior.

• Aertemi re-formed Lu Cang’s body and found that it contained only class levels, with none of his talents or abilities.

• Lu Cang rebuilt Xiu Mi’s body and burned away her damaged skin so she could recover.
• Lu Cang told Xiu Mi that Airosa was safe, that he had killed Aertemi, and that he had rescued Xisha and the others.
• Lu Cang sent the four missing people to Xiu Mi and left her in the World of Self.
• Back in the Chamber of Answers, Huang Minzhi explained that Yog sought knowledge with no connections to anything already known.
• Huang Minzhi led Lu Cang through the stars to a spaceborne airport and said it could reveal where Lu Cang came from.

Huang Minzhi revealed that the Foul Source Nest had brought Lu Cang to the Secret Sea and gathered the Tree of Wisdom’s branches and leaves inside him to contaminate the world’s spirituality. Lu Cang understood the source of his immense spirituality but still wanted to know why he had been chosen.

• Huang Minzhi told Lu Cang that someone who should have appeared was missing and connected that absence to his Spiritual Pollution.
• Huang Minzhi revealed that the Foul Source Nest, a mass of Foul Worms, had sent Lu Cang from Earth to the Secret Sea.
• Lu Cang realized his contamination had been present from the moment he arrived and that his reincarnation could cleanse contaminated spirituality.
• Huang Minzhi explained that the Tree of Wisdom’s branches and leaves had gathered inside Lu Cang, giving him immense spiritual potential and shifting the world’s balance toward monsters.
• Lu Cang recalled seeing the Tree of Wisdom stripped nearly bare in the Time Ruins and asked why he had been chosen.

Huang Minzhi explained that Earth was part of the Astral Realm, itself a Nest where humans were created as monsters with faint spirituality. He revealed that Lu Cang was an exceptional, spirituality-free vessel chosen to receive and corrupt collected spirituality, and that he and Huang Minzhi were both part of the Starry Nest.

• Huang Minzhi told Lu Cang that the Astral Realm was Perga’s Divine Kingdom and that Perga had once built an ideal kingdom before creating the Void.
• Huang Minzhi revealed that the Astral Realm was also a Nest and explained that Earth’s people were monsters who had developed faint spirituality and humanlike thought.
• Huang Minzhi explained that Lu Cang had no spirituality but could think normally, making him the perfect vessel for transferring and corrupting the collected spirituality.
• Huang Minzhi told Lu Cang that they had both been special monsters hatched in the Astral Realm’s incubator and were part of the Starry Nest.

After learning the truth about his origins, Lu Cang felt empty but decided to continue pursuing the dangers and questions ahead. Huang Minzhi offered to show him something in the Chamber of Answers, and Lu Cang began his Warrior advancement before they left.

• Lu Cang learned the answers about the Foul Source Nest, the Tree of Wisdom, Perga's conspiracy, and Earth's cultivation, then asked whether he could leave the Chamber of Answers.
• Huang Minzhi said someone else Lu Cang might want to meet could be in the Chamber and offered to show him something, so Lu Cang agreed to go with him.
• Lu Cang assembled a Promotion Ritual and began advancing from Level 6 to Level 7 as a Warrior after killing Aertemi.
• Yang Ming appeared during the advancement and warned Lu Cang that progressing again only eight days after reaching Level 6 was impetuous.

Lu Cang fought Yang Ming again, using his level 7 warrior class and powerful Dao techniques to overwhelm him. Yang Ming adapted during the battle and countered Lu Cang with a newly formed Way-Manifesting Skill, leaving Lu Cang covered in spreading cracks.

• Yang Ming challenged Lu Cang again, insisting that his previous defeat would not stop him from fighting.

Yang Ming drew the Emperor Sword, a divine artifact he had found as a level 6 Warrior, and unleashed an emperor’s slash against Lu Cang. Lu Cang dodged through frozen time and used Airosa’s Arms Dao to make the sword tremble loose from Yang Ming’s grasp.

• Yang Ming and Lu Cang traded attacks at immense speed, learning from each other’s Dao as Huang Minzhi sheltered from their aftershocks.
• Lu Cang mastered Yang Ming’s five Way-Manifesting Skills and Emperor’s Path, while Yang Ming’s progress failed to close the gap between them.
• Yang Ming drew the Emperor Sword and swept a golden slash at Lu Cang, whose future sight showed the strike would overwhelm his consciousness if it landed.

Lu Cang took the Emperor Sword from Yang Ming and fought him without using it, defeating him with Emperor's Path—Dao Four: Unstoppable Advance. Lu Cang reached Level 7 as a Warrior, while Yang Ming vowed to reclaim the sword in a future fight.

• Lu Cang used Airosa's resonance skill to wrest the real Emperor Sword from Yang Ming, whose Level 6 strength was insufficient to control it.
