Background / History
Tang San observes Douluo Continent from the God Realm, noting that ten thousand years have passed below while only over twenty years have passed in the God Realm and that the Tang Sect has declined. He is one of the Five Great God Kings and an enforcer of the God Realm Committee. 4
When his daughter Xiao Qi secretly descends to Douluo Continent, Tang San conceals from Xiao Wu that he has split Xiao Qi’s soul into three parts. He reassures Xiao Wu that Xiao Qi will be safe under Da Ming and Er Ming’s protection while privately turning his attention toward the continent’s Child of Destiny. 4
As the Destruction God King’s faction begins placing statues carrying divine senses on Douluo Continent, Tang San frames the matter as a threat to the continent’s people and resolves to counter it. Rather than confront the stronger Destruction Faction directly, he proposes seizing control of Phainon, the new Child of Destiny and the Destruction God King’s successor. 183
His plan, called Eternal Reincarnation, would create a false world within Qiankun Love Valley, repeatedly traumatize Phainon until his will breaks, then replace it with a will loyal to Tang San. His allies initially object but ultimately agree to assist. 184
Appearance
Tang San is a blue-haired man usually seen in an exquisite blue robe. As his Sea God Position evolves and foreign power affects him, his appearance becomes increasingly unnatural and angelic. 4 387 408
- Blue hair and azure-themed attire. 4
- Pale blue Divine Rings and a growing sacred aura during his attempted evolution. 387
- Feathers and later twelve wings manifest from his back as his condition deteriorates. 387 415
- His transformed aura combines oceanic power with holy light, making him appear like a chaotic fusion of incompatible divine forces. 407 408
Personality
Tang San is methodical, politically calculating, and highly confident in his own judgment. He approaches opposition through indirect control rather than open conflict when the odds are unfavorable, as shown by his plan to turn Phainon into a pawn rather than challenge the Destruction Faction directly. 183 184
He presents his actions as protection of Douluo Continent, but repeatedly seeks to preserve or expand his own influence over the lower realm. His attempt to manipulate Wang Dong, control Phainon, seize influence over Douluo Star’s Underworld, and intervene in continental affairs reflects this controlling nature. 184 219 266
His family—especially Xiao Wu, Xiao Qi, Tang Hao, and Ah Yin—is his principal emotional weakness. Threats to them provoke impulsive, disproportionate reactions, including his attempt to force passage into the lower realm after hearing Ah Yin’s distress. 268 406
Following the destruction of his Divine Soul, Tang San becomes increasingly unstable. His eight additional consciousnesses magnify his pride, jealousy, possessiveness, and aggression, often pushing the Main Consciousness into confrontations he considers too dangerous. 267 268 270
Abilities & Skills
Divine Sense and Lower-Realm Interference
Tang San can project divine sense across the boundary between the God Realm and Douluo Continent, monitor targets, and directly influence lower-realm events.
- Entered Wang Dong’s Sea of Consciousness through his Trident mark to inspect and manipulate her soul and memories. 266
- Took control of Wang Dong’s body during Shrek Academy’s Selection Tournament, suppressing her consciousness and fighting with her Clear Sky Hammer. 219
- Can forcibly interfere with lower planes, though this places him in conflict with God Realm rules and other God Kings. 4 272
- Opened a passage to the lower realm with quasi-God King power and launched the Sea God’s Trident through it. 406
- His divine-sense connection to Wang Dong became the route through which an Original Sin landmine reached and destroyed his Divine Soul. 266 267
Sea God Authority
As the Sea God, Tang San commands ocean-related Divine Power and possesses a powerful inherited combat arsenal.
- Sea God’s Trident — His Super Divine Artifact; it can be thrown across realms and used as a golden spear in battle. 406 415
- Golden Thirteen Halberd — An inherited set of techniques used through the Trident. 269

Asura God Position
Tang San can shift into the Asura God Position, exchanging Sea God authority for destructive killing power.
- Asura Blood Armor — Covers him in blood-red armor and manifests nine blood-red Divine Rings. 415
- Asura Blood Sword — His ultimate attack, creating an immense blood sword saturated with killing intent. 271 416
- The position allows him to fight through severe injuries, but his rage and divided consciousness impair his judgment. 271 415
- He later abandons the Asura Sword in the Golden Dragon King’s Sealed Space so his remaining consciousnesses can use it to influence the Golden Dragon King and deceive God Realm surveillance. 419
Divided Divine Soul
An Original Sin divine-power ambush splits Tang San’s Divine Soul into nine separate consciousnesses.
- The nine fragments each claim to be the true Tang San and compete for control of his body. 267
- The Main Consciousness temporarily suppresses the others and proposes creating separate bodies to prevent internal conflict. 267
- The fragments share a desire for revenge, but secretly scheme against one another as well as the Main Consciousness. 267 268
- Tang San later divides his body and consciousness further to escape the God Realm and deceive its surveillance. 418 419
Land Faith and Angelic Corruption
Tang San gathers Land Faith to evolve the Sea God Position into a God King position, but the process destabilizes him.
- Land Faith causes his Sea God aura to acquire sacred, angelic traits. 387
- The God of Light identifies his condition as the revival of the God of Angels within him. 408
- Qian Renxue exploits this connection, takes his “good” half after his body is split, and converts the Sea God Position into the Sun God Position. 416
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Sea God’s Trident — Super Divine Artifact and vessel for the Golden Thirteen Halberd. 269 415
- Asura Sword — Weapon of the Asura God Position; later left in the Golden Dragon King’s Sealed Space. 415 419

- Dai Mubai, Zhu Zhuqing, Ning Rongrong, and Oscar — Ascended companions who remain loyal to Tang San and ultimately agree to support Eternal Reincarnation despite moral reservations. 183 184
- Phainon — Child of Destiny and successor of the Destruction God King. Tang San intends to break Phainon’s will and use him to control the Destruction God Position. 183 184
- Wang Dong — Target of Tang San’s divine-sense surveillance and direct possession; he controls her body during the Selection Tournament. 219 266
- Destruction God King — Political rival and later direct enemy. Their conflict centers on control and interference in Douluo Continent, then escalates into open battle in the God Realm. 183 272 407
- Qian Renxue — Enemy who revives through Tang San’s altered Sea God Position, takes his good half, and becomes the Sun God. 416 417
- Rong Nianbing — Former friend who turns against Tang San when he judges him too dangerous to remain in power. 413
- Golden Dragon King — Temporary collaborator. Tang San manipulates him into cooperating against the God Realm and leaves a divided portion of himself behind in the Sealed Space. 418 419

When confronting Di Tian, Tang San claims to be protecting Douluo Continent from further slaughter while demanding that Di Tian return to the Star Dou Great Forest. The Silver Dragon King and the Destruction God King prevent the confrontation from escalating further. 319 320
Divine Soul Fracture and War with the Original Sin Gods
While examining Wang Dong’s Sea of Consciousness, Tang San triggers an Original Sin landmine planted through his Trident mark. The explosion reaches his Divine Soul, splits it into nine consciousnesses, and begins his descent into instability. 266 267
Driven by rage and pressured by the rival consciousnesses, Tang San attacks the God of Arrogance and then battles the Seven Original Sin Gods. He cannot prove their involvement in the earlier ambush to the Destruction God King, leaving him isolated and politically weakened. 269 270 272
Failed Ascension and Fall from the God Realm
Tang San accumulates Land Faith in an attempt to raise the Sea God Position to God King level and overpower the God of Destruction. Instead, the angelic power within the position destabilizes him further and enables Qian Renxue’s return. 387 408 409
After the Elemental Gods, Original Sin Gods, and other Main Gods unite against him, Tang San is overwhelmed in the Abyss. The combined power of the God of Destruction and Goddess of Life splits his body, allowing Qian Renxue to seize his good half and transform the Sea God Position into the Sun God Position. 413 415 416
Escape to Douluo Star
Severely injured, Tang San reaches the Divine Forbidden Land and convinces the Golden Dragon King to cooperate with him. He uses the Asura God’s power to breach the Sealed Space, leaves part of himself behind as a decoy, and escapes the God Realm. 418 419
Tang San arrives on Douluo Star as a blood-red meteor after losing his Sea God Position, divine status, and much of his former support. At the Sea God Family, he divides himself again to send a portion to Qiankun Love Valley for the Divine Ceremony and pursue Qian Renxue. 420 421
