The Origin of the Plaque

"Those words again!"

Xiao Ran looked at the eight characters above and couldn't help frowning.

At first, when he'd seen them on the military banner, he'd been astonished. Now, seeing them again, he was only annoyed.

"This seal is the same as the one on the back of the mirror."

Huang Le came over for a look, then took out the bronze mirror to compare them. They were exactly alike.

"Gasp!!!"

When Xiao Ran saw the bronze mirror in Huang Le's hand, he looked at the mark on the back of the plaque again. His head began to buzz.

He cursed inwardly, Damn it. How many seals has that bastard Huang Chao stamped?

Li Xiangyang, the eunuch, had said earlier that a mysterious person had used the Imperial Seal to stamp this mark onto King Wu's military banner.

After that, King Wu had gained the ability to command the ghost soldiers through the banner.

Besides King Wu, the other rebel kings seemed to each have something similar to a military banner, an item bearing the same seal.

Xiao Ran hadn't thought much of it at the time, but now he'd be lying if he said he wasn't worried.

A broken plaque had caused so much trouble. Could that guy really have been going around stamping one after another wherever he went?

Xiao Ran put the broken plaque into his space as well. He took the bronze mirror, too.

Anything that could bear that seal was bound to be sinister. He'd better study the mirror first. If there was nothing wrong with it, he could give it back to Huang Le later.
