As Wang Bo and Zhang Qi approached, Wu Man shook his head at Xiao Ran and Golden Toad Son.
The two of them noticed the gesture. Their faces fell, as if they'd already guessed the outcome, and they rushed into the convenience store without hesitation.
As soon as they entered, they saw the shopkeeper's head resting on the table, placed there by Wu Man.
But when they found their companions, their eyes immediately reddened.
Of the three companions, two had been dismembered, while the third had been stripped naked and hung upside down from an iron hook.
Even though they'd been mentally prepared, the sight left both of them trembling with terror.
Xiao Ran followed them inside. Seeing what had happened, he let out a silent sigh, said nothing, and walked over to the bodies.
He crouched down and took out the needle and thread he carried with him. His hands moved so quickly they blurred, and fine stitches flowed beneath his fingertips as he swiftly sewed the dismembered bodies back together.
The whole process was as simple as reassembling a dismantled toy.
