To be fair, Ling Tian really hadn't known Fourth Baby had lightning powers too. Maybe he had known as a child in his previous life, but he had forgotten.
How Little Right knew wasn't important. What mattered now was that this hand seemed to have quite a few ideas of his own.
Whether he should satisfy the other's wishes depended on whether he wanted to get stronger.
Did anyone hate getting something for nothing?
No.
Then the answer went without saying.
He would train him first. If anything happened later, the Uchiha could handle it. If they couldn't, his big brother and his clones could step in. If even that failed, his right hand would take over.
So training him was absolutely necessary for a carefree life of lazing around.
At that moment, Ling Tian was trying to think of what Lightning Release Ninjutsu there were.
Chidori?
It hadn't been developed yet.
That Nukite with however many fingers?
That was passed down through Kumogakure's line of Kage. No way to learn it...
Lightning Clone?
Lightning Release: Lightning Right-Hand Clone Technique...
What else?
Nothing...
Little Right said, "I need that Lightning Release: Chidori you mentioned, but Four-Finger Nukite, and especially the strongest version, One-Finger Nukite, would suit me better. We have the principles behind Chidori, but not Hell Stab, so we'll have to practice Chidori first."
Did I say any of that?
Ling Tian said glumly, "My big brother should have some Lightning Release Ninjutsu. I'll ask him for them when he gets back."
Little Right said, "Then let's draw up a training plan. First, start conditioning your body tomorrow morning. For now, refine chakra and activate the chakra throughout your body as soon as possible."
Ling Tian frowned. "I still need to keep up my disguise. I can't expose my strength. I can refine chakra when I have time, but forget physical training. That would give me away."
Little Right said, "Your plan is about to begin. Whether you're exposed doesn't matter anymore. Strength is what we need most urgently right now."
Ling Tian gave a sheepish smile. "We've already got enough strength. I don't need to work hard."
Little Right said, "Right now, you only have a Jonin's worth of chakra. The only ninjutsu you know are the three basic ones. Your physical strength doesn't even match some Chunin, and you have less combat experience than some Genin who've been on a battlefield. In short, you're weak. If you don't get stronger, you'll drag us down."
Ling Tian waved him off. "It's fine. We'll talk tomorrow. I've still got something to do."
He went to pick up Kakashi and Might Guy.
Training?
What a joke!
Why wear myself out when I could just use my brain?
At the same time.
The Uchiha Clan Compound.
Uchiha Red Four followed behind Fugaku with one hand behind his back, his bearing proud.
He wanted to go home-to Uchiha Island's home-but he had no memories and didn't know the address.
That was why he had gone straight to Fugaku.
In Red Four's mind, he had to repay Ling Tian's debt of gratitude, but Uchiha Island's daughter was the most important recipient.
He would have Fugaku Uchiha take her as his adopted daughter and have Ling Tian marry her. After that, if the Uchiha ran into trouble, lending them a hand would be enough.
They reached their destination.
Fugaku had barely knocked when someone came out to open the door.
"Father, you're back! Clan Leader, you're here too!"
Her voice was gentle, with a delicate sweetness to it.
She wore a blue-green Uchiha kimono and had side-swept bangs. By the standards of Red Four's memories, which included countless Photoshopped pictures and Asia's three great arts of deception, her face wasn't breathtakingly beautiful, but she was still soft and lovely.
Red Four was very satisfied.
As long as she wasn't ugly.
While repaying the debt, his original self could enjoy himself too.
Most importantly, although she was only fifteen, she already had a shapely figure, and her voice was soft too.
With his original self's memories, he knew perfectly well what kind of girl the other liked.
"What's her name?"
Red Four made no attempt to hide anything and asked outright.
"Uchiha Nako. She isn't a Shinobi,
so naturally, she hasn't awakened her eyes either. Island didn't want her to become a Shinobi." Fugaku was filled with emotion. Island had followed him back when he was still just the chief elder's son.
For him to be gone just like that was heartbreaking.
"Father, Clan Leader, what are you talking about?"
Confusion appeared on Uchiha Nako's previously reserved face.
"I'm not your dad."
"Father, what are you saying?"
"Uchiha Island is dead. We came to fulfill your father's final wishes. Fugaku is here to adopt you as his daughter. Before your dad died, he asked you to marry White Fang's younger brother, Hatake Xianyu. That was his dying wish. I'm here to ask whether you're willing."
Red Four's expression remained proud, and he concealed nothing.
"Father, what's wrong with you?"
Uchiha Nako's voice trembled with tears. "Are you joking?"
Hongsi frowned. "I'm not joking. Your dad is dead. I only survived because of him. My name is Uchiha Red Four. From now on, call me Brother Hongsi. I'll look after you in his place."
"Naiko, Brother Red Four is right. Island gave his life for the Uchiha. The clan won't forget him. Before he died, Hatake Xianyu promised your dad he would marry you. Are you willing? From now on, think of me as your father. Come live at my house!"
As Fugaku looked at the seemingly soulless Naiko before him, guilt surfaced on his face. Island had died because of him.
"I don't believe it. I don't believe Father would die. You're playing a joke on Naiko, aren't you? Tell Naiko you're only joking."
Uchiha Nako ran over and took Red Four's hand as she spoke. She couldn't accept this explanation.
"Your dad is dead. That's a fact. But it's fine if he's dead. He can be brought back to life later. Do you really need to be this upset?"
Looking at the girl clinging to him, Red Four frowned again.
If her father hadn't done his original self a favor, and his original self hadn't promised to marry her, he would have started cursing her out.
What could anyone accomplish with all this crying and sniveling?
Sure enough, women only slowed down your sword draw.
There was nothing wrong with that saying.
As for the fact that he was still occupying someone else's body, and that Ling Tian was doing all this for that man's sake, he had selectively forgotten it.
"I'm only helping my original self repay a debt!"
Exactly. That was all.
"Bring him back to life?"
Fugaku's expression changed dramatically. "Is that true?"
"Would I need to lie to you?"
At being doubted, Red Four grew haughty again.
"How would you do it? Can you do it now?"
Ignoring Naiko, who was still grieving beside them, Fugaku hurriedly asked.
At that, Red Four's expression soured.
Bring him back now? Do you want me dead?
Seeing his reaction, Fugaku realized he had said the wrong thing, but still asked, "That's not what I meant. But if you can bring someone back to life, could you..."
"No."
Red Four refused, then added haughtily, "Resurrection will be possible later, but not now. Besides, since we're allies, I might bring you back if you die. But other people? Do you think resurrecting someone is easy?"
Then he turned to Naiko, who was still crying. "Your name is Naiko, right? Your dad is dead, but it's only brain death. His body is still perfectly intact. As long as I keep his body safe for him, I can summon his soul back later. I'm leaving now. Think carefully about what I just told you."
Fugaku: "..."
Before you continue
