Nature and Formation

A Nascent Soul is created when a Golden Core cultivator fuses their Soul with the Golden Core's refined power, producing a fundamentally new form of life. It is still the cultivator in the most essential sense, but no longer merely a disembodied Soul. 209 320

The condensation process begins when the Golden Core and Soul converge at the center-of-the-chest acupoint. The Soul must then be continuously burned and tempered with True Essence, shedding its formless nature and gradually becoming substantial. Failure can result in the Soul dispersing under the pain. 467

Manifestation

During Lei Dong's breakthrough, his forming Nascent Soul developed from an intangible Soul into a faintly glowing, material existence resembling a plump, rosy infant. 467

Capabilities and Limitations

Life Imprint and Rebirth

A Nascent Soul carries most of its owner's life imprint, including memories, consciousness, and accumulated experience. Its destruction—not merely the destruction of its physical body—constitutes a cultivator's true death. 320 464
