Ye Fan was a little surprised. Ever since he'd acquired Saiyan blood, he'd never heard the system speak.

Once the Sky Dance Technique reached its final form, it would be able to jump through space, a little like the Flying Thunder God or a jutsu such as Kamui.

Killing intent filled the air around the rampaging Gaara, and his hands were stained with blood.

Aside from Gaara, the rest of Konoha was in ruins as well.

Standing at a high vantage point, Ye Fan surveyed the scene and saw that Konoha's main force consisted of Anbu Jonin and the instructors leading the teams.
"Hm? Why hasn't a single Root member shown up?" Ye Fan furrowed his brow and cursed Danzo in his heart.
"Has Danzo gone crazy wanting to be Hokage? Does he think he'll take over for sure once the Third Hokage is dead?"
Ye Fan was certain Danzo had received word that the Third Hokage had been trapped by Orochimaru inside the Four Violet Flames Formation.
And yet, Danzo hadn't sent anyone to support the Third Hokage, let alone to protect Konoha's civilians.
"Ptui!" Ye Fan spat, his expression cold. He looked down on Danzo's behavior.
Back when the Second Hokage had chosen the next Hokage, Danzo had lost his chance because he was too much of a coward. Now he wanted to seize the position through such underhanded means.
"Heh. That old bastard Danzo actually has the nerve to call himself Konoha's root hidden underground, the darkness beneath the light? What a shameless hypocrite!"
"Calling him darkness beneath the light is an insult to darkness itself!
"A man so selfish he'll do anything for his own sake dares to claim he's protecting Konoha from the shadows!"
Ye Fan's gaze turned cold, and he said darkly, "You'd better not have had anything to do with spreading those rumors back then. If you helped fan the flames, I'll send you straight to hell!"
To Ye Fan, crushing Danzo was no different from crushing an ant.
No matter how many extra lives he had, they wouldn't help him!
The badly wounded Third Hokage arrived late.
When he saw that not a single Root ninja was among those defending Konoha, his heart turned cold.
In the past, he'd thought that everything Danzo did was for Konoha.
But now, with Konoha caught in the midst of a crisis, Danzo was nowhere to be seen.
For a moment, the Third Hokage felt bitter, as if his trust had been misplaced.

Even setting aside his food and living conditions, when the Fourth Hokage sealed the Nine-Tails inside Naruto, only the Third Hokage and his two guards had been there.
The Third Hokage had been perfectly capable of keeping the matter secret. Instead, he'd let the entire village find out, leaving Naruto to suffer mistreatment and scorn from a young age.
The laughable thing was that everyone knew Naruto was the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, but no one knew he was the son of the hero who had protected the village!
