Background and History

Academy years

Zi Xu begins with more than twenty years of past-life experience and treats the ninja world with caution. Although his Kaido-enhanced body already surpasses his peers in reflexes, perception, resilience, and calculation, he deliberately presents his accomplishments as luck to avoid attention. 6

At the Ninja Academy, he meets Aburame Hatsumi and Hyuga Chino. The three gradually form an organization intended to escape Konoha's control; Zi Xu initially declines its leadership despite Chino believing him more suited to the role. 2 9 10

After learning that Konoha had planted poison in him, Zi Xu raises his Kaido Physique Fusion to 25% and removes it. He sets the group's first major goal as reaching C+ strength before their graduation. 10

Ryūchi Cave and Sage training

A Reverse Summoning Technique sends Zi Xu to Ryūchi Cave, where Orochimaru immediately regards his unusual physique as potential experimental material. Zi Xu avoids becoming a test subject, survives the cave's trials, and earns the White Snake Sage's approval to learn Sage Mode. 23 28
