Chaos, who had been watching the show, suddenly turned toward the Sabaody Archipelago. Through his Observation Haki, he sensed a golden light hurtling toward him at incredible speed. It crossed ten kilometers in barely more than ten seconds.
Brilliant photons gathered in midair, eventually forming a figure.
Chaos narrowed his eyes. The man's appearance was unexpected.
Wearing a black bowler hat, a white pinstriped suit, and a blue tie, with a Justice coat fluttering behind him, a cigarette between his lips, and black gloves on his hands, Borsalino looked a little rough around the edges at this point in time. His face hadn't yet developed its later sleazy look.
"How frightening. Isn't this the Golden Emperor, Gaia Chaos, with a bounty of 783 million?"
Borsalino spread his hands and blew a smoke ring.
His tone was a little sarcastic.
He'd been minding his own business on the Sabaody Archipelago when he received word that the Golden Emperor was robbing the Heavenly Gold tribute bound for the Gilgamesh Kingdom and that reinforcements were needed.
He'd come ahead of the others. Vice Admiral Tsuru was following behind him aboard a warship.
The orders were to capture the Golden Emperor.
"Oh, my, isn't this Borsalino, one of the three new monster rookies in the Navy?"
"I'm feeling the pressure."
The Golden Throne shifted. Crossing one leg over the other, Chaos gave Borsalino a faintly mocking look, his eyes full of contempt.
"Then I'm honored."
Borsalino raised his index finger. A cross-shaped golden light flickered at its tip as he casually gave a little poke.
In an instant, a laser shot through the air. He wasn't one to waste time with preliminaries.
