Chapter 18: Treasure Map Acquired~

Matsushita Heisaburo's driving skills were excellent, his car fast and steady. They soon arrived at the base of Tokyo Tower.

Rolling down the window, Shu Yunwen scanned the sparse crowd outside and quickly spotted Conan and the other three – four kids huddled together were actually quite easy to find.

Having Matsushita Heisaburo drive up to the four kids, Shu Yunwen waved and pretended to be surprised, "Hey! Genta! What are you four doing here?"

Genta, Conan, Ayumi, and Mitsuhiko all turned their heads simultaneously, "It's Brother Yunwen?"

Genta looked astonished, "Brother Yunwen, what are you doing here? Are you here to play too?"

"Ha~ I had something to do and just happened to be passing by," Shu Yunwen casually lied. "What about you guys? Aren't you supposed to be at the Beika Art Museum? Why did you come all the way to Tokyo Tower? Don't you need to go home for lunch?"

Ayumi said cutely, "Mom isn't home today, so she gave me money for lunch and told me to eat out."

"Me too," Mitsuhiko chimed in.

Genta then spoke up, "Mom also gave me lunch money. And, Brother Yunwen, we're here to look for treasure today! We, the Junior Detective League, found a treasure map in front of the museum, and Mitsuhiko said this paper definitely depicts a great treasure!"

As he spoke, Genta waved the treasure map in his hand.

"Heh heh..." Conan stood to the side, giving a dry laugh with dead fish eyes.

Junior Detective League?

Hearing the name, Shu Yunwen snapped back to reality – right! In that case, it seemed about time for the Junior Detective League to be established.

Shu Yunwen's expression remained unchanged as he reached out and snatched the treasure map from Genta, who was near the window, "What treasure map is this? Let me see!"

"Hey, hey, hey! Brother Yunwen, how can you snatch our treasure map? That's so mean!" Kojima Genta protested, and Ayumi and Mitsuhiko also clenched their fists, looking furious.

Inside the car, Shu Yunwen pretended to lose his grip, and the paper fell onto his feet. At the same time, Shu Yunwen bent down, took out his Polaroid camera, and with a "click," snapped a picture of what was on the paper. Then, he picked the paper up again and, with a look of annoyance, handed it out the window, acting impatient, "Alright! Alright! You're so noisy! Here's your treasure map, take it quickly! And besides, this looks like something a kid scribbled randomly, doesn't it? How could it possibly be a treasure map?"

Genta quickly took the paper back, "Hmph! This is clearly a treasure map! As an adult, bullying children like this is so rude!"

"After I liked you so much, you actually look down on us!" Ayumi was still displeased.

Shu Yunwen rolled his eyes. Just as he was about to say a few more words and leave, he suddenly felt like someone was watching them. He looked up and met the eyes of several men in black suits. Among the three, one had an East Asian face, while the other two looked like foreigners with fierce expressions.

Hmm... could these guys be members of the Italian Bandit Group?

In his memory, these three seemed to have been following Conan and the others.

Shu Yunwen withdrew his gaze, narrowing his eyes slightly. He felt that letting Conan and the others continue to be followed by these three was definitely not a good thing. Even though Conan eventually managed to deal with these three in the anime, it still wasn't entirely safe!

After pondering for a moment, Shu Yunwen then put on an apologetic expression, "Ha! My bad, okay? Little brats, stop complaining. To apologize, I'll treat you to something for lunch, alright?"

"Really?"

"I want to eat lots and lots of delicious food!"

"I want to eat sushi!"

The kids immediately stopped being angry. Conan, with his dead fish eyes, gave another dry laugh, thinking how easily these kids were appeased with just a meal.

Sigh, it was really difficult for him, a high school student, to be mixed in with a bunch of kids.

Shu Yunwen curled his lips, "Alright! Everyone get in the car! We'll talk about what to eat later."

After the kids got into the car, they were chattering noisily. Conan, however, was quite quiet. He looked around the car curiously, then picked up the paper with the treasure map drawn on it and continued to study it.

The car started moving. While the group of kids were making noise, Shu Yunwen patted his wallet with a pained expression and quietly said to Matsushita Heisaburo, "Find a cheap but delicious place nearby."

Matsushita Heisaburo nodded. After thinking for a moment, he thought of a decent family restaurant. He turned the key, and the car started.

About five minutes later, Matsushita Heisaburo parked the car in a makeshift parking lot. The kids got out one by one. Matsushita Heisaburo led everyone to the restaurant entrance. The kids all had dead fish eyes and started complaining.

Genta: "Brother Yunwen, I don't think we can eat anything good here, can we?"

Ayumi: "Even if you're treating, choosing a place like this feels too perfunctory!"

Mitsuhiko: "Forget it, forget it. It's good enough that there's food. You're just a high school student, after all, you don't have much money."

Conan, as usual, was giving a dry laugh with dead fish eyes.

Shu Yunwen reached out and flicked Genta on the head, "Stop the nonsense! Do you want to eat or not? If you want to eat, hurry up and go inside!" Then, Shu Yunwen casually pinched Conan's cheek, "And you, kid, that look in your eyes is really annoying!"

"Okay! We get it!" The kids drooped their heads dejectedly.

The restaurant was called Meiwako Family Restaurant. Although the sign and the entrance looked a bit run-down from the outside, the place was quite crowded, bustling with activity. As they entered, Shu Yunwen's gaze swept across the room and he spotted three girls sitting together, chatting and laughing. His expression immediately changed, "Whoa! It's too crowded in here, there's no place to sit. How about we go somewhere else..."

Before Shu Yunwen could finish speaking, he heard Ayumi point at the girls at a long table and exclaim loudly, "Look! It's Kazumi-neechan! Kazumi-neechan and her friends are eating here too!"

Mitsuhiko followed up, "It's true! Should we go say hello to Kazumi-neechan?"

"Of course! It's basic manners!" Genta voted in favor.

Conan, however, glanced at Shu Yunwen with some curiosity. Why did he feel like Shu Yunwen was avoiding Tsukamoto Kazumi? As far as he knew, Tsukamoto Kazumi and Shu Yunwen had a pretty good relationship!

While the kids were talking, Tsukamoto Kazumi's eyes had already turned towards them, her gaze filled with surprise.

Shu Yunwen inwardly cried, "Oh no!"

Damn it! These little brats were going to be the death of him. He wanted to leave precisely because he saw Tsukamoto Kazumi, okay?

After all, when they met in front of the Beika Art Museum earlier, he had said he had other things to deal with, and now, not long after, he was bringing four kids here to eat...

Being exposed right to their faces!

However, since Tsukamoto Kazumi had already seen him, turning around and leaving now would be truly impolite.

With no other choice, Shu Yunwen flicked Genta on the head again. Under Genta's bewildered and displeased gaze, Shu Yunwen, along with Matsushita Heisaburo and the four kids, walked up to Tsukamoto Kazumi and smiled, greeting her, "Kazumi-san, what a coincidence, meeting you here..."

As for Tsukamoto Kazumi's two friends beside her?

Well... Shu Yunwen completely ignored them. He didn't remember who they were anyway.
