The Undying Immortal floated out of Lu Yang's body and greeted him with a cheerful grin.

But when he got a clear look at the Undying Immortal's condition, a hint of confusion crossed his face. "Undying, why are you only a soul now?"

He'd thought the Undying Immortal was like him, hidden away in some small world that Lu Yang carried with him.
The Undying Immortal happened to cough twice, her face looking unusually pale. She pretended she was fine, not wanting her old friend to worry. "It's nothing serious. I just got a little hurt in that fight, and it's been hard to recover."
"Immortal, are you all right?" Lu Yang hurried to check on her.
The Undying Immortal waved a hand. "I'm fine. I'm just a little weak. I'll be better after I get some rest."

Qilin Immortal was taken aback. Was that really something the Undying Immortal could say?
Zhongtian Emperor watched the Undying Immortal with uncertainty, his thoughts in turmoil. Qilin Immortal had called her Undying?
He searched his memories of immortals throughout history. Not once had a female cultivator ascended, let alone taken the immortal name "Undying."
Who was she? An immortal from antiquity?
And that Yun Zhi was also a female immortal, but he had never heard of anyone named Yun Zhi.
