Nick Fury stood in his secret research facility, gazing at the mysterious energy cube on display – the Tesseract. He recognized its potential and desired to harness its power to protect Earth from threats. However, his decision met with skepticism from Dr. Erik Selvig.
"Damn it, the Tesseract's energy is still rising, beyond control," Erik Selvig said.
The Tesseract erupted in a brilliant flash of light, ripples spreading outwards, scattering everything on the table to the floor.
"Hey. Are you all alright?" Nick Fury asked loudly.
"W-we're okay," Erik Selvig slowly got to his feet.
Just then, another intense wave of energy suddenly erupted from the gem. A bright light flashed, and Loki appeared before Nick Fury. He wore magnificent Asgardian armor, exuding an imposing aura.
Loki looked at Nick Fury indifferently and said mockingly, "Midgardian, you always like to grasp power, don't you? It seems this gem has also caught your eye."
Nick Fury's expression darkened. The unexpected arrival startled him, and he questioned, "Who are you?" while subtly raising his arm.
Agents quickly sprang into action, launching an attack to subdue Loki. However, Loki displayed his strength as a god of Asgard. He deftly dodged the agents' attacks and defeated them one by one with his magic.
Whoosh!
An arrow struck Loki's afterimage.
"Looks like there's another little mouse," Loki smiled slightly and used his magic to appear before Hawkeye, who was caught off guard and unfamiliar with the situation. Loki laughed triumphantly, using the power of his scepter to control Hawkeye, forcing him to submit to his will. "You seem to have some skill, so become my loyal puppet before me."
Nick Fury was furious. He knew that if he didn't act, Loki would take the Tesseract, posing a great danger to Earth. He focused his mind, found an opportunity for a breakthrough, and launched a decisive attack on Loki.
"Let's leave it at this for now. Consider it a small punishment," Loki said with a mysterious smile. Then, using the Mind Scepter, he began controlling the surrounding agents and fled with the Tesseract, Dr. Erik Selvig, Hawkeye, and a portion of the controlled agents.
Nick Fury listened to the distant gunshots. After the sounds faded, Natasha arrived before him. She spoke directly, "Clint?"
"He's been controlled," Nick Fury replied, recalling the scepter in Loki's hand.
"Then?" Natasha looked at the pensive Director.
"It's time to activate the Avengers Initiative."
Meanwhile, Loki, having departed, waved his scepter towards a location. The controlled agents then raised their weapons and aimed at a spot where no one was visible.
"You thought your illusions could escape a god's gaze?" Loki sneered, looking towards that spot. "Hiding like a coward, reveal your lowly self before a god."
"Loki, you call yourself a god?" an evil voice rang out. "If I weren't afraid of Sanctuary detecting me, but..." A man in a black mage robe and mask waved his hands. Wormholes opened on either side, and two dark octopuses attacked Loki.
Loki's expression instantly turned grim. "Dark magic? Are you also here to seize the Infinity Stones?" He waved his Mind Scepter, and the agents raised their weapons and began firing.
Bullets rained down on the octopuses, eliciting cries of pain. However, their dark energy enveloped them, blocking the agents' attacks. Loki calmly considered his strategy, knowing this battle was not to be underestimated.
Loki used his magical skills, releasing a powerful energy wave that repelled one of the octopuses. However, the other octopus continued to trouble him. Loki dodged swiftly, simultaneously releasing lightning orbs from his scepter, blasting off one of the octopus's tentacles.
The man in the black mage robe sneered, "Loki, you're as arrogant as ever. But you can never compare to the power of dark magic."
"Who exactly are you?" Loki was very confused. The man before him seemed to know him, but he had no memory of ever meeting him.
"Who I am is not important. Do you crave power?" the mysterious man said.
A cold smile touched Loki's lips. "Dark magic or the power of gods, they are merely tools to me. And I am the ruler of chaos and order."
As soon as he finished speaking, Loki unleashed a powerful energy wave, pushing back the man in the black mage robe. He controlled the agents with his scepter, ordering them to continue attacking the octopuses.
Under the agents' assault, the octopuses gradually weakened and were eventually defeated. Loki looked at the retreating mysterious man and said coldly, "Dark magic is not your true power after all. You are merely a tool of temptation."
"You will seek me out again," the mysterious man said with a slight smile before disappearing.
Enthusiastic applause erupted.
After a brief but intense discussion, the members of the Baker Team and Baker himself decided that Quentin Beck would portray the superhero "Mysterio."
"Then?" Quentin Beck was both excited and at a loss, unsure of what to say or do.
Baker patted his shoulder and teased, "Now, discard your past, everything about you, and start a new life, a superhero's life."
Quentin Beck nodded blankly, then a smile spread across his lips.
Quentin Beck's excitement was beyond words. He finally had the chance to become a superhero, save the world, and showcase his talents. He realized he would face a series of challenges and responsibilities, but he was also confident in his ability to handle them.
The members of the Baker Team congratulated Quentin Beck, encouraging him to shine in his new role. They had great confidence in him, believing he would become a great superhero.
"Congratulations, Quentin! We look forward to seeing your talent shine as a superhero!" one member exclaimed excitedly.
Quentin Beck felt the team's support and encouragement, which strengthened his resolve. He took a deep breath, his gaze firm, and declared, "I will do my utmost to be a fearless protector and fight for justice!"
Baker watched this scene, his evil smile no longer containable.
"Tony Stark. When my superhero Mysterio appears and begins to shine his future, this world will no longer need you. However, before that. I will give you a small gift first."
"A prequel gift for Mysterio VS Iron Man."
Baker left the scene and headed towards his laboratory. Unbeknownst to him, not far away, the Translucent was watching him, unseen.
Snap! A document was thrown onto the desk by Nathan Hawke.
"This Beck, he actually dared to illegally withhold some of the weapon resources."
Wesker said coldly, "After all, with the company salary, he probably felt it wasn't enough."
"Huh? Wesker, I didn't expect you to tell jokes," Nathan Hawke laughed. "The money to buy 5 Iron Armors is at least enough."
"After integrating Hammer Industries' resources, we can begin stable production of the Iron Legion. Especially the Eisenach Armor using Eisenach technology," Wesker said, using the remote control in his hand to switch the data and images on the display.
"Dr. Ryoma Sengoku has optimized certain elements in the reactor, making them more durable in use. However, the energy source Iron Man is currently using appears to be different," Wesker began switching screens. The display showed the extraordinary nature of Iron Man's energy source.
Nathan Hawke nodded in satisfaction.
"Good. I trust you to handle things. As for Beck, let's keep him for now," Nathan Hawke said expressionlessly.
Wesker nodded, understanding that Nathan Hawke's plan was merely to use a superhero to defeat Beck, who had been privately misappropriating company resources, at a critical moment, thereby enhancing the company's and his own influence.
Nathan Hawke calmly formulated his plan, deciding to reveal Beck's true face at the opportune moment and use a superhero to eliminate him. Simultaneously, he would leverage this opportunity to boost the company's influence and expand his own power.
While Beck remained unaware, an intricate conspiracy had begun to brew.
Stark Residence.
"You're not welcome here," Tony Stark said, glaring at Nick Fury and the agents behind him who had entered his home without permission.
"Tony, a major event has occurred. This world needs your strength," Nick Fury explained patiently.
"Huh?" Tony Stark acted as if he had heard something amusing.
"I recall you saying you were the organization responsible for this world's peace. If you're so powerful, you need me?" Tony Stark taunted, picking at them. "Besides, shouldn't you be telling me that I need your strength, not that the world needs your strength?"
Nick Fury shook his head. "Tony, you have too many issues with us. But we will still await your reply. We're only here this time to tell you that a major event has happened. Only by working together, forming a team, can we defeat this enemy."
Tony Stark shrugged, not answering. "Really? Then we'll talk about it when it happens." He then gestured with his left hand, indicating a departure.
"Tony, I'll wait for your news," Nick Fury waved his subordinates away.
After Nick Fury and his entourage left.
Tony Stark immediately instructed Jarvis, "Jarvis, retrieve information on major events that have occurred recently."
"Received, sir."
Tony Stark let out a breath, then picked up his wine glass and poured himself a glass of red wine.
