Superhero Press Conference.
This was the press conference hosted by the Hawke Group today.
Or rather, a Superhero Showcase.
It was said that three superheroes would be demonstrating their superpowers.
This unprecedented, earth-shattering news had completely packed the entire Superhero Press Conference.
Nearly half of New York City's population had rushed over.
The one who contributed the most to this was Andrew, also known as Super V, a superhero.
In New York City, you might not know the mayor, but you absolutely had to know New York's Good Neighbor.
Super V.
Especially the line: "Your Good Neighbor."
This caused Super V's fan base to grow rapidly, and the daily necessities he endorsed sold exceptionally well.
This caused the Hawke Group's stock price to soar.
And even before this press conference began.
Hawke's stock market already showed signs of spiraling out of control.
Fans began to chant on their own.
"Super V, Super V, we want to see Super V!"
Inside the Hawke Group, Nathan Hawke felt the strength of his body, with electric sparks flashing at his fingertips.
"That's right, the more people who recognize superheroes, the more supervillains I can summon to strengthen myself."
The fluctuations of his summoning were also gradually increasing. He believed that the time for summoning would arrive again not long from now.
At the press conference, many people wondered why Nathan Hawke of the Hawke Group wasn't appearing.
It wasn't until someone mentioned that Nathan Hawke was attending a charity gala and thus couldn't make it to this press conference that some people began to develop a favorable impression of Nathan Hawke and the Hawke Group.
Nathan Hawke did not attend the charity gala, but the donated money and welfare homes were implemented as planned.
They would all become loyal fans of the Hawke Group and superheroes in the future.
Everything had to start from the children.
The press conference was held very successfully.
Super V's telekinesis, Translucent's invisibility, and Electro's lightning strikes sent the press conference into wave after wave of excitement.
After their joint appearance, there were individual interviews with each superhero.
Each superhero had their own exclusive media release area, merchandise, and character standees.
Group photos, handshakes, interactions.
Using telekinesis to make people float, taking people with them while invisible, charging small personal items for others.
Back and forth, it wasn't until around 11 PM that the press conference finally concluded successfully with the help of the Hawke Group and the invited police personnel.
However, the "troublemakers" who were expected did not appear.
Inside the Hawke Group, the three superheroes collapsed on the side.
"I'm exhausted," a cup of Junk Food Drink floated in front of Andrew.
Max Dillon looked speechlessly at the ceiling and said, "You guys have no idea, when I was charging their little gadgets today, do you know what someone asked me to charge?"
The two looked at him together, shaking their heads in unison.
Max Dillon pointed downwards.
"Hiss~" The two gasped.
"They're really into that?" Translucent exclaimed in surprise.
"There are quite a few, some with toys, some without," Max Dillon pouted.
"Look at your future fan base," Translucent didn't finish his sentence, but like Andrew, a mischievous smile appeared on his lips.
"Are there both men and women?" Andrew suddenly looked at him intently, his interest piqued.
"Uh." Max Dillon didn't want to talk to him and shot out a small spark of electricity.
Andrew waved his hand and deflected the spark.
"Hahahaha," Translucent burst into loud laughter.
This little exchange significantly improved their relationship.
"You guys will start being superheroes tomorrow too. Keep it up!"
Andrew cheered them on before leaving.
"Got it."
"No problem."
The Translucent was already well-versed in this routine, having no trouble at all and picking it up extremely quickly.
Max Dillon, on the other hand, was a bit worried. He planned to review his character profile and superhero dialogue later.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Nathan Hawke and Wesker were in discussion.
"The Hawke Group's stock is soaring, and the funds will be here soon."
"I've already found many suitable locations abroad, just waiting for your funds."
Wesker had already found many places suitable for experiments and simulated training for deploying biological weapons, and was just waiting for Nathan Hawke's funds.
Umbrella Corporation's funds could only sustain domestic research; anything further would be a loss. Equipment, transportation, and labor all represented a significant financial investment, and these things couldn't be accomplished without a strong financial chain.
After discussing for a while, Nathan Hawke left to rest within Umbrella.
Wesker didn't need to rest; the virus within him allowed him to maintain high energy levels for a long time.
Nathan Hawke could also do so, but not for as long as Wesker. When he summoned Wesker, his strength was only half of Wesker's, and the same applied to the virus. Even now, a sample of his was included in the reversed gene.
Although he later acquired Telekinesis, the Translucent's abilities, and Electro-kinesis, along with their physical strength.
Frankly speaking, among the three of them, only the Translucent had higher physical strength than the other two. But he could still be killed by a bomb.
Although Nathan Hawke could also forgo rest, there was no need.
The next morning, Nathan Hawke received a message from Justin Hammer.
"You're quite the celebrity now. I thought you'd be there yesterday when I went to the site, but you weren't. Knowing how busy you are, I won't say more, but you have to come see me today."
"Alright, I'll head over in a bit."
Speaking of which, his encounter with Justin Hammer happened at a weapons exhibition.
At that exhibition, Justin Hammer was boasting extensively in front of a group of military personnel.
Then, someone mentioned Tony Stark's name.
Justin Hammer froze for a moment, but as a businessman from a major corporation, he knew how to react. He immediately composed himself, pretended not to have heard, and then began praising his own "invincible" weapons.
Due to the weapons' low prices, wide variety, and rapid production speed, Justin Hammer managed to secure a military order.
Nathan Hawke, on the other hand, was there to build his network.
He went to Justin Hammer's place and bought quite a few weapons (for Wesker to use for his tasks).
When Justin Hammer learned that his visitor was Nathan Hawke, the son of the founder of Hawke Group and the chairman of Hawke Group, he immediately thought of the saying, "One more friend, one more path to wealth."
He gave Nathan Hawke a production price (as Justin Hammer himself later admitted).
With both of them intentionally and unintentionally wanting to befriend each other, the atmosphere was naturally very pleasant.
And so, they formed a connection.
He got into a car and instructed the driver to head to Hammer Industries.
As the car began to deviate from its course, Nathan Hawke directly used Telekinesis to destroy the driver's cranial shell and piloted the car towards Hammer Industries with his mind.
"Boss, the target vehicle has returned to its route." a member observing through binoculars said immediately.
"Didn't our man disguise himself as the driver?" a person wearing a skull mask asked.
"Yes, but the car isn't proceeding as we expected."
"You mean... our man might have been eliminated?"
The person with the binoculars' earpiece flickered; clearly, a message had come in.
"Boss, according to personnel from another observation team, the driver is still our team member, but he seems... uncomfortable."
"Uncomfortable?"
"Yes, according to the team's body language expert, our team member appears to have absolutely no strength in his entire body."
The person wearing the skull mask pondered his subordinate's words.
"Then give him a taste of something serious." A cold, lifeless command was issued.
The operation targeting Nathan Hawke.
Commence.
Behind Nathan Hawke's car, two vehicles sped forward.
Two more vehicles ahead began to slow down, determined to block Nathan Hawke's path.
"Who wants to kill me?"
Nathan Hawke's eyes flashed, and he suddenly thought of Hydra, the evil organization with personnel scattered throughout America's institutions.
The corners of his mouth turned up slightly. He took out a button from his suit and pressed it.
Receiving the order, the Superhero Trio sprang into action.
Andrew arrived first, seeing several cars engaged in a chase on the bridge.
With a wave of his hand, the parts of the cars surrounding Nathan Hawke loosened.
The cars began to lose control, crashing and falling into the sea...
Biu
A specially made, rapidly spinning bullet was fired.
Under the telekinesis defense, the bullet passed through the special glass and stopped in front of Nathan Hawke's temple.
Andrew looked in the direction the bullet was fired from and quickly rushed over.
"Super V is here, quick, retreat." Knowing they were no match, a group of people abandoned their weapons and quickly left.
"Think you can get away?"
Telekinesis erupted, directly knocking them unconscious.
"Wesker will like the human experimentation subjects I send him," Andrew said indifferently, looking down at the fallen personnel.
"The plan failed," the person holding the binoculars immediately said.
"All units, retreat," the man wearing a skull mask immediately gave the order.
"You want to leave?"
Electro floated up, appearing above them.
"Kill him," the skull-masked man ordered immediately, then quickly fled.
The members beside him began to raise their weapons and fire.
"Hmph, suicidal," Electro said as he saw them aim their weapons at him. The auxiliary aiming device in his eye sockets activated, and he fired bolts of electricity one by one.
Striking the members, Electro cleared the area in an instant.
"Looks like Umbrella has new test subjects."
The door to a room was kicked open, and the skull-masked man quickly shut it.
He gasped for air.
Upon seeing who it was, the bald man frowned and asked, "Rumlow, is it done?"
"Shit."
Facing Sitwell's question, Rumlow could only lash out in anger, kicking over nearby furniture.
Watching the furniture shatter on the floor, Sitwell could only curl his lips.
"Superheroes, especially Super V and Electro, are not something our troops can handle."
He recalled the scene where, after Electro appeared, his team was wiped out in a single encounter.
Rumlow punched the table beside him, shattering it.
Sitwell was speechless.
"The boss will understand you," Sitwell could only offer words of comfort to Rumlow.
Rumlow was a Super Soldier; he had surely never imagined failing a mission, but reality had taught him a lesson. What it meant to be outmatched (tactical head tilt).
Sitwell suddenly felt quite sympathetic towards him, though he wasn't sure why. Perhaps it was the sympathy of a secretary.
Sympathy for the brawler.
Alright, it was actually schadenfreude.
Seeing Rumlow's distressed state, Sitwell almost burst out laughing, but he was a professional.
Absolutely, absolutely not laughing.
Only his shoulders trembled inexplicably.
Unbeknownst to them, an invisible figure was silently watching the scene.
