Electro, Max Dillon.
To be honest, even though Nathan Hawke had an answer in his heart after summoning him, when it came to certain versions of Electro and the Living Lightning...
The Electro before him, from Ultimate Spider-Man, Max Dillon.
Better suited Nathan Hawke's needs.
Without a doubt, one of those was his body being energy-based.
Summoning Max Dillon, Nathan Hawke also felt a subtle change in his own body.
Good thing it wasn't the other Electro.
Reinhold Schmidt, son of Red Skull.
Otherwise, Nathan Hawke really wouldn't know how to accept him, or rather, deal with him.
Actually, Nathan Hawke didn't know if these summoned villains were completely obedient to him.
Like those system-summoned characters with one hundred percent loyalty.
If that were the case, Nathan Hawke wouldn't have to keep a sour face.
"You're Max Dillon, right? Welcome to this world."
"Who the hell are you?" Max Dillon eyed the two men in front of him warily. At this moment, his body had absolutely no electricity.
He was just a slightly stronger ordinary person.
"Translucent, fill him in on the situation, and also our plan. He's part of the Superhero Project too. Oh, and his ability is absorbing electrical energy, controlling electricity. Don't let him absorb any for now."
Nathan Hawke didn't want him to drain the entire park's power in one go.
"Then take him to see Wesker."
As for why, it was naturally to draw blood from every super villain.
"Yes, boss." Translucent grinned as he looked at Max Dillon.
"Hey, buddy. No need to look so glum. You're out of juice right now, right? After we're done here, big bro will take you out for a good time, promise you'll be fully charged in no time."
"A good time?" Max Dillon frowned. He didn't touch that poison stuff.
"That's right, pale bodies, intense collisions." Translucent raised an eyebrow, giving a look that any man would understand.
In no time, Translucent dragged Max Dillon away.
"Is that okay?"
Super V, Andrew's voice came through.
"He just wants some company, like you did back then." Nathan Hawke said without turning around.
"Ah, I see." Hearing this, Andrew suddenly felt a sense of kinship. He also felt a bit of envy toward Translucent.
"You can go if you want." Nathan Hawke's voice came.
A look of joy flashed across Andrew's face.
Then he straightened up, "No, I fought today and realized I still have some shortcomings. I'll go back and train some more." Without waiting for Nathan Hawke to respond, he flew off.
Nathan Hawke shook his head. This guy.
The next day.
It was undoubtedly a grand carnival for journalists.
They showed up early at the press conference hosted by Stark.
And among them, countless news outlets were already reporting online and offline, scrambling to cover news about Iron Man, Super V, and Obadiah Stane.
Coulson arrived with Tony Stark's military friend, Rhodey.
The two of them looked at the scene with massive headaches.
"If you ask me, yesterday's matter should have been handled by the military."
Coulson didn't answer his question, instead changing the subject: "Let's just help Tony deal with this mess for now."
But Rhodey wouldn't let it go, pressing on: "So, did you guys find anything?"
"Let's talk about that later." Coulson laughed it off and quickly left, not wanting to continue the conversation with Rhodey.
Watching this press conference from in front of the TV, Nathan Hawke realized.
This world had finally begun to change because of his arrival.
Because Obadiah Stane hadn't died, Tony Stark's announcement at this moment was a bit different from what Nathan Hawke remembered.
But when it came to talking about Iron Man's identity...
That iconic line that ignited the heat and frenzy still appeared.
"I'm Iron Man."
For the next few days, the headlines, the news, the streets and alleys were all filled with all kinds of news about Tony Stark and Iron Man.
The most ridiculous one was a piece of gossip.
A Woman spent the night with Tony Stark without taking precautions.
She unexpectedly ended up pregnant with his child.
"Shocking: Iron Man's illegitimate son?"
Nathan Hawke stared speechlessly at the newspaper report in his hands.
But then again.
Transmigrators in the Marvel universe often end up as various relatives or direct connections of Tony Stark.
For example: uncle, aunt, sister, brother, godfather, son-in-law, son, daughter, adoptive father, and so on...
In short, all sorts of bizarre ways to claim kinship with Tony Stark.
Maybe next time he could tell this story to Justin Hammer.
(Justin Hammer: Everyone's welcome to claim kinship with me too. I'm totally fine with it. After all, you guys have Golden Fingers. Take me along for the ride and make me look good.)
Setting down the newspaper, he tapped the mahogany desk with his right hand.
It was time to start implementing the Superhero Project.
On the other side.
Based on the Superhero Project Nathan Hawke was preparing to launch.
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Coulson also noticed the anomaly within Hawke Group.
"Superhero Project? What the hell is that?" Coulson asked doubtfully, taking the intel handed over by his subordinate.
"Isn't Hawke Group a household goods company? Or are they planning to release household items featuring superhero cartoon characters?"
"For example: superhero hand warmers, superhero sanitary pads."
The subordinates nearby couldn't help but laugh at the humorous remark.
Only the agent who had handed over the intel looked grim—Coulson's words were practically a slap in his face.
He could only point a finger at one of the superhero names in the intel.
"Super V?"
Looking at the name in the file, Coulson turned to the agent and demanded, "What's this all about?"
The agent immediately straightened up and said seriously, "According to intel, Hawke Group is planning to launch superheroes."
Hearing the agent's words, Coulson quickly asked with a grave expression, "Is the intel accurate? Hawke Group is planning to launch superheroes?"
"The intel is accurate. In fact, you could say Hawke Group hasn't even tried to hide it. They've already sent out invitations and invited most of the news media."
Staring at the superhero names in the file.
Coulson's face turned pale.
Super V, Translucent, Electro (Electro's superhero name was vetoed by both Nathan Hawke and Electro himself).
After arriving in this new world, Electro wanted to make a clean break with the past. Being a superhero was far better than being a supervillain. Now he had the ability to enjoy a wealthy life while still playing the hero. Anyone who ruined his dream would face his wrath.
That meant Hawke Group had at least three superpowered individuals on hand. This made Coulson frown deeply as he immediately dialed a number.
"If it's about Hawke Group's Superhero Project, don't bother. Now, immediately, go see Nathan Hawke! Right now!" A deafening voice came through the phone.
"Sigh~"
With a troubled expression, Coulson could only get into his beloved car and drive to Hawke Group, listening through his earpiece as his subordinate reported Nathan Hawke's personal information.
The door to Nathan Hawke's office was knocked on.
Then the door swung open automatically, and Secretary Jenny stepped forward to say.
"Boss, there's someone named Coulson here, claiming to be an agent from the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division, requesting a meeting. I confirmed with the New York Police Department, which we've donated supplies to, that such an organization exists."
The Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division was an agency involved in homeland security, national defense construction, military training, and other areas. Its main responsibilities included formulating and executing national strategic defense and attack plans, as well as ensuring military logistics support.
"Let him in."
"Alright, boss."
After Jenny left, it wasn't long before Coulson walked in.
A bit bald, huh. That was Nathan Hawke's first impression.
"Hello, I'm Agent Coulson from the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division." Coulson extended a very friendly smile and shook hands with Nathan Hawke.
"Hello, Nathan Hawke."
He invited Coulson to sit down.
"Something to drink?"
Asked this, Coulson immediately replied, "If possible, a cup of black tea with half a spoon of sugar."
Nathan Hawke pressed a button nearby and said, "One iced lemon tea, one black tea with half a spoon of sugar."
After the drinks arrived.
Taking a sip of his iced lemon tea, Nathan Hawke began to ask, "So, Coulson, what does your organization want from me?"
Coulson took a sip of his black tea before speaking. "It's about your Superhero Project."
"The Superhero Project?"
"Yes." Coulson's expression turned serious.
"Then you'll have to wait a little longer. The Hawke Group will be holding a press conference on the Superhero Project soon. You'll be able to see the heroes then." Nathan Hawke replied with a smile.
Are they controllable?
The question surfaced in Coulson's mind, but he dared not utter it.
He could only follow Nathan Hawke's lead and say, "I came for your invitation. I'd like a good spot to get an up-close view of these superheroes' invincible presence."
Nathan Hawke's face lit up with understanding. "So that's it."
He immediately instructed Jenny to arrange an excellent viewing position for Coulson.
At this point, there was nothing left to discuss.
After exchanging a few inconsequential pleasantries, Coulson took his leave.
Once Coulson was gone, Translucent, clad in his invisibility suit, materialized from the shadows.
"His clothes have listening devices, cameras, and weapons that passed security." The high-tech embedded in the invisibility suit quickly scanned the gadgets hidden within Coulson's attire.
This suit was developed in collaboration with scientists poached from Stark Weapons R&D Department.
"Should I tail him and find their base?" Translucent asked.
"No need. Wesker is already handling it."
Wesker had long been on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar due to the questionable methods he used to establish Umbrella Corporation.
As a result, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had already infiltrated some of the less critical positions within Umbrella Corporation.
And that agent had exposed both himself and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s location.
The virus inside Wesker was no joke.
He could sniff out every ill-intentioned person who set foot in his company.
"Get ready for your debut at the press conference."
Hearing Nathan Hawke's words, Translucent nodded, then put on a displeased expression. "That guy Tony Stark has been hogging the headlines for days. I've had enough of him. Now it's finally our turn."
Translucent's remark made Nathan Hawke wonder if the man was trying to prove his loyalty.
