The Heavenly Dao Saints attained their positions through the Dao Ancestor’s Primordial Violet Qi and the Heavenly Dao’s Fortune Aura and essence. Their Primordial Spirits are entrusted to the Heavenly Dao Origin, granting them inexhaustible mana within the Primordial Wilderness and the ability to revive after destruction. 727 845 663

They function as the traditional highest authority of the Primordial Wilderness, with their doctrines, sects, and cultivation systems shaping the Immortal Dao. Their status does not make them politically unified: Yuanshi openly rejects Tongtian’s Heaven-Severing Dao, while Tongtian has withheld his full strength during collective actions against Empress Pingxin. 727 630

Internal Divisions

History

Contest for Human Dao

Taiqing’s refusal to recognize Fuxi as Human Emperor reveals the Saints’ early attempt to retain control over humanity. He argues that, as a Heavenly Dao Saint, Human Sect leader, and holder of the Kongtong Seal, he alone has the right to invest a Human Emperor. 352

When Fuxi declares that Human Dao possesses Saint-level protection, Zhunti attempts to seize the Human Dao Seal by force. Daoist Zixu’s sudden appearance as a Human Dao Saint humiliates Zhunti and exposes the Saints’ fear of an independent Human Dao. 360

Conflict with Great Sage Dao Venerate

Great Sage Dao Venerate’s public transmission of the Martial and Divine Paths threatens the Saints’ control over cultivation. Yuanshi attacks him, but Great Sage repels the strike, devours Yuanshi’s treasures with a Five Elements-based divine light, and publicly mocks the Heavenly Dao Saints. 428

The confrontation escalates when Great Sage uses the Eight Souls Banner to threaten the Saints’ names and karma. Jieyin yields rather than risk further injury, while the other Saints withdraw instead of fighting an unpredictable opponent willing to consume his own origin essence. 430

Suppression of Rival Saints

The Six Saints and Hongjun later move against the Human Dao Three Saints after demanding their submission. Thunder Ancestor, Daoist Zixu, and Daoist Feng refuse, declaring that Hunyuan will cannot be enslaved. 659

The conflict results in the deaths of Daoist Zixu and Thunder Ancestor. Thunder Ancestor self-detonates his Chaos Divine Thunder, killing Yuanshi and Nuwa alongside himself; the two Heavenly Dao Saints later revive through the Heavenly Dao Origin. 663

War in the Netherworld

Taiqing and Nuwa demand that Empress Pingxin surrender authority over the Netherworld and Six Paths of Reincarnation. Pingxin refuses, arguing that the Heavenly Dao Saints lack the right and competence to govern the Earthly Dao. 627

The conflict grows into a battle against the Six Saints. Pingxin kills Jieyin once, withstands the group’s combined assault, and forces the wider Primordial Wilderness to question whether the Saints’ reputation rests more on Heavenly Dao backing than peerless combat strength. 630

Confrontation with Qingyuan

Qingyuan eventually demonstrates a strength beyond ordinary Saint-level comparison by imprisoning Yuanshi in his palm while sealing his cultivation and Pangu Banner. The other Saints do not dare intervene. 1217

Hongjun later empowers the Six Saints to confront Qingyuan in Chaos. Despite their combined Great Dao arts, treasures, and Heavenly Dao augmentation, Qingyuan’s natural Dao barrier dissolves every attack, breaks Tongtian’s Sword Intent, destroys Jieyin’s twenty-four treasures, and reflects Zhunti’s divine light. 1575
