Hela vs. Proxima Midnight
Hela VS Proxima Midnight
Without hesitation, Shazo threw the half-finished energy blast, attempting to block the enemy's surprise attack.
The golden-armored warrior drew a circular blade shadow, cleaving the powerful energy blast in two, then slipped through the middle and swung his blade at Shazo again.
The peculiar double-edged sword only needs to rotate half a circle to prepare for a second attack, without losing any speed or momentum.
But Shazo remained unfazed, crossing his arms in front of him and gathering powerful energy as a defense to block the enemy's slashing blade.
The double-edged sword struck Shazo's arm, but was blocked by the highly concentrated energy, producing a metallic clang.
Then the two enormous energy clusters collided and exploded the instant they touched, with a deafening roar that resounded through the heavens and earth. The destructive energy spread wildly, and smoke and dust Setsuna engulfed everything.
After the dust settled, the clouds in the sky were driven far away, leaving only two people staring coldly at each other in the sky.
Above, the wrecked Sanctuary II warship was completely out of control, tilting at a 35-degree angle, with flames erupting from more than half of its surface.
Clearly, the aftereffects of Shazo's Kamehameha are still taking effect; flames are spreading inside the giant Airship, and the damaged area is constantly expanding.
The warship, billowing black smoke, crashed into the already ruined land, covered with a thick layer of solidified lava.
All entrances and exits of Sanctuary II were opened, and the surviving aliens, in all sorts of vehicles, fled the massive warship in droves, heading at full speed to a safer, more distant place.
Such a large warship, whose mass has exceeded a certain limit, would not have a simple physical effect upon colliding with the continent of Asgard; otherwise, it would have triggered a massive explosion.
Just like the asteroid that wiped out the age of dinosaurs.
Hela, flew back to Shazo's side, expressionless, and assumed a fighting stance, conjuring two longswords in her hands.
Thanos glanced at her and suddenly said, "Asgard's Death Goddess, have you submitted to an earthling?"
"No wonder, this Earthling is indeed excessively powerful."
Thanos raised his left hand, displaying a golden gauntlet and a purple gem, and asked, "Earthling, is the Space Stone with you?"
Shazo stretched out his right hand, reached into a patch of shadow, and pulled it out with the Tesseract in his hand.
You mean this?
Shazo displayed the blue Cosmic Cube, then gently crushed it, revealing a blue gemstone inside.
At that moment, Thanos's attention was not drawn to the gems, but rather to the lingering shadow.
He said incredulously, "Am I seeing things? Is this the Dark Dimension?"
Shazo nodded. "That's right, spoils from the Dark Dimension, obtained from Dormammu."
Thanos's gaze grew even more serious. "It seems I underestimated you."
"Earthling, what is your name?"
Shazo retorted, "Why do you need to ask my name?"
Thanos replied, "For insignificant people, Earthlings, Kree, Skrulls, and Asgardians are all appropriate terms, but for the strong, they are not."
"That's very Politeness to you, and it's also disrespectful to myself."
Shazo smiled, "My name is Shazo Dawson, you can call me Shazo."
Thanos nodded. "Shazo —this is the third Earth name I've remembered."
Shazo guessed, "I bet the first one is the Ancient One, and the second one is Stark, Tony Stark."
Thanos nodded again. "The Ancient One, the master of magic; Tony Stark, cursed by knowledge; the mighty Shazo Dawson."
"So many memorable names have appeared on Earth in such a short time. Maybe I chose the wrong gem-hoarding location."
"Heh, I knew it!" Shazo gritted his teeth and said, "You did this on purpose, the Mind Stone arrived on Earth."
"At this point in time, did you also send someone to Earth?"
Thanos laughed and replied, "That's right, my men have arrived on Earth. They will retrieve the Time Stone and the Mind Stone for me."
"Once I get the Space Stone from you, I will go and obtain the Reality Stone and the Soul Stone."
Shazo tilted his head and asked, "Thanos, how can you be so confident?"
Do you really understand me? Do you really understand the Earth?
"I'm raising a flag right here today: You can't have the Space Stone."
Thanos swung his double-edged sword with a powerful flourish, and said with a gentle smile, "I think I can do it. Why don't we give it a try?"
Shazo got into position again. "Alright."
However, neither of them expected that Hela, who had been expressionless, would suddenly appear in front of Thanos with a blur, her two longswords clashing left and right, each aimed at a gap in Thanos's armor.
Thanos stared at Shazo, then swung his greatsword downwards to parry Hela's twin swords. But in the instant the swords clashed, Thanos realized something was wrong.
Hela's power was immense; when her attack struck Thanos's sword, the impact was as powerful as a mountain collapsing.
That massive, golden-armored Thanos was instantly propelled into the sky by two slender longswords.
Hela pressed her advantage, and in a flash, she gave chase.
Just then, Lookout II crashed to the ground, and the temperature at the point of contact instantly reached the level that could vaporize Rock, causing the continent of Asgard to crack.
Boom!!
Accompanying the white shockwave was a terrifying roar that could truly stun people and tear apart their Human Body.
Hela's attack rhythm was instantly disrupted, but Thanos and Shazo were unaffected. They excluded Hela from their attention, focusing only on each other.
The stubborn Hela refused to give in. Her divine power surged, coalescing into a vast array of swords, ready to riddle Thanos with arrows.
But her attack missed its mark; all the divine swords inexplicably struck empty air.
Hela remained expressionless. "Mind control, Thanos, one of Black Order Supergiant!"
She then created more longswords and launched them like a hedgehog, creating a terrifying storm of blades around herself that frantically shredded everything in its path.
The Death Goddess, with her extensive experience and deep understanding of the Thanos' Army that traverses the Universe, immediately guessed that her vision had been interfered with.
Therefore, Hela guessed that the Supergiant must have always been by her side, but through mental influence, she subconsciously ignored its existence.
Hela unleashed a blade storm that she could not fully control.
She certainly had eyes, but her sword did not.
With a series of clanging sounds, a blue female figure was swept out by the storm of blades. Her face, half-metallic, showed a pained expression, clearly indicating that she had been badly injured.
The Supergiant was horrified. If he hadn't reacted quickly enough, he would have been cut into dozens of pieces by the terrifying storm of sword blades.
But Hela's attacks did not stop. Blades formed from divine power rained down like a storm, forcing the Supergiant to retreat repeatedly until she received support from Proxima Midnight, thus escaping the threat of death.
The Supergiant exclaimed incredulously, "Hela was sealed away 2000 years ago, how can she be so powerful?"
Proxima Midnight is Thanos's most loyal subordinate, and therefore has more information. Holding the Shinsō given to her by Thanos, she is cautious and on high alert.
Upon hearing the words of the Supergiant, Proxima Midnight remarked, "Hela is indeed very strong, but Odin, who sealed her away, is even more powerful."
"The Asgardians, led by Odin, are very powerful. The Asgard they founded is one of the most powerful forces in the Universe. Even His Majesty is very wary of Odin."
The Supergiant drew his weapon and stood shoulder to shoulder with Proxima Midnight: "It seems we need to join forces to deal with this Goddess of Asgard."
"Um."
Hela maintained her new expressionless persona, saying calmly, "Asgard, which belonged to the Asgardians, no longer exists; now it belongs to my master."
"You dare to follow Thanos in invading your master's territory? You're courting death!"
Proxima Midnight taunted, "Heh heh, Odin is dead, Asgard is destroyed, and you yourself have become a lowly slave girl of Earthlings, yet you still spout nonsense here. I think you're the one courting death!"
As she spoke, she threw the Shinsō in her hand, which instantly transformed into three black rays that struck Hela with lightning speed.
0
Hela neither dodged nor avoided the rays, allowing them to pierce three holes in her body, from which a mysterious, deadly force spread.
Supergiant and Proxima Midnight were overjoyed, never expecting victory to be so easily won.
The Supergiant even excitedly shouted, "Haha, I thought he was a monster, but he turned out to be a weakling."
Proxima Midnight breathed a sigh of relief, "It seems the intelligence wasn't 100% accurate; Asgard isn't as powerful as the legends say—"
Proxima Midnight could finish speaking, a powerful longsword pierced her right shoulder, cutting through her scapula before piercing her lungs, stomach, pancreas, and part of her intestines, emerging from her left waist.
Before the two shocked Black Order react, more divine swords pierced through Proxima Midnight, leaving her riddled with thorns.
Hela deliberately avoided Proxima Midnight's vital points, intending to make her death less likely and thus prolong her suffering.
As for the Death Goddess's wounds, they had now fully healed.
Becoming Shazo's slave girl wasn't without its advantages. Under his tutelage, Hela gained a better grasp of Asgard's power, transforming her ability to heal severe injuries—which could only be achieved through resurrection after death—into Esper Powers that allowed her to Self-Healing at any time.
Shazo said that any resurrection is the Miracle, the Miracle should not happen frequently. Fate will surely mark an unimaginable price for unimaginable the Miracle in secret.
This was the first time Hela had heard such words, yet she felt a deep terror from the bottom of her heart. It was the prophetic ability unique to the Asgardians, a horror that had been glimpsed into the distant future.
For the gods, death is not the most terrible outcome. The nature of Gods dictates that they may suffer a tragedy ten thousand times worse than death.
And it's the kind of story that has no ending.
Deeply terrified, Hela obediently followed Shazo's advice and tried her best to control Asgard's resurrection power.
She even made further progress in her divine power as a result, touching the edge of Gods of the Skyfather level.
Even after impaling Proxima Midnight a hedgehog, Hela didn't continue her attack. Instead, she stared intently at the vibrant black divine power extracted from her wounds, which she had trapped with her hands clasped together.
Hela could hardly contain her joy, murmuring, "This is divine power, the divine power of death."
"It's the power of the Death Goddess. Judging from the purity of this wisp of divine power, Thanos really does have a direct connection with her."
Hela is also Death Goddess, but only a symbol of death authority within the Asgardians. The Death Goddess she refers to is the Death Goddess throughout the entire Marvel Universe, one of the Five Cosmic Entities.
The difference between the two Death Goddess is greater than the difference between humans and gods; it's immeasurably greater.
Or perhaps Hela's ultimate dream was to become a god of death, just as the Ancient One pursued Eternity.
Now that she had finally found a clue to the death, Hela was overjoyed and decided to give the enemy a quick death as a reward.
Thanos saw the perilous situation of Proxima Midnight from afar. He frowned slightly, hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided to lend a helping hand to his most loyal follower.
The heart's subordinate.
But Shazo suddenly appeared in front of him, blocking his view and disrupting the magic he was projecting.
Gan was Proxima Midnight, unable to dodge Hela's powerful sword. It pierced through her heart and brain, instantly killing her.
Proxima Midnight's fate changed; instead of suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the Avengers, she was killed by Hela, just like in the comics.
Perhaps this is her guiding of destiny's collision as she wields the divine spear.
Thanos was furious. He looked down at Shazo and said, "You're asking for death!"
Shazo sneered, "You're welcome to try."
The two stopped speaking and then vanished simultaneously, leaving only the deafening roar that echoed through the air.
Their battle reached its climax.
Just as Shazo and Thanos were fighting, a Airship traveling faster than the speed of light appeared in Earth's orbit.
The Airship was dark and covered with menacing space warfare weapons, clearly a dedicated warship.
Experienced Universe crew members would almost instantly recognize this as the highest-ranking main warship under the Sanctuary II- highest-ranking warship of the Thanos' Army, the Sanctuary.
The moment they recognize each other, everyone will abandon everything and run away with all their might.
Few aliens would choose to fight Thanos' Army, but absolutely no alien would choose to surrender, because Thanos' Army is a notorious, evil force that loves Carnage.
This warship was dispatched by Thanos immediately after he confirmed Odin's death, and it crossed the galaxy at top speed to reach Earth from the distant other side of the Universe.
Their sole purpose is to seize the Mind Stone and the Time Stone.
