"Let's go outside and give them some time to say goodbye," Jin said, getting to his feet and walking toward the cave entrance.

Kevin looked at the Two-headed wolf that was about to die before him and gently reached out to stroke its head.

It seemed to sense Kevin's touch. The horned head bent slightly and rubbed against the back of Kevin's hand, then stuck out its tongue and gave him two licks before drooping weakly again, quietly awaiting death's arrival.

"It really understands human nature." Kevin silently rose to his feet as well and headed outside, leaving the Two-headed wolf family some quiet space.

At the cave entrance, Jin leaned against the stone wall.

Kevin stood at the entrance and looked into the distance. Several large trees had been pierced through with holes, yet they still stood resiliently without falling.

"Because of your own needs lately, you must have looked up all kinds of information online about Mysterious Beasts, Rare Beasts, and Demonic Beasts, right?" Jin asked.

Kevin nodded at the question. "Yeah. Because of Nen ability, I'm especially interested in that kind of thing."

"Then what do you think of these creatures?"

There was nothing to hide here, so Kevin answered frankly, "They're amazing. I never thought that, even in modern society, I could learn about creatures that seemed to have stepped straight out of stories."

After all, for more than twenty years of his previous life, he had lived in nothing more than an ordinary world, one without such dreamlike and fantastical things.

"Mm, I see." Jin murmured softly. After a while, he suddenly tossed something at Kevin.

Kevin caught it.

The object was about as long as his forearm and had a considerable weight in his hand. It was tightly wrapped in oilcloth, with a bandage wound around it as well.

More interestingly, the bandage bore extremely intricate yet orderly patterns. With his command of Nen ability, Kevin could clearly sense a trace of Aura within those patterns.

"That's God Text, something made through knowledge, special written patterns, suitable Nen ability, and exceptional Nen control techniques," Jin explained.

Hearing that, Kevin immediately lost interest. It did not sound like something an ordinary person could learn.

"Hey, don't look so discouraged. There really are very few people who have mastered this technique, but if you work hard and give it a try, maybe you really can learn it?" Jin suddenly said with a smile, looking exactly like a scammer.

"How long did it take you to learn it?"

"I'm still learning it now."

"Heh." Kevin could not help mocking him. Then what the hell would I learn it for?

Still, if he got the chance, he could give it a try.

As long as it was something fantastical or extraordinary, Kevin wanted to see it and try it.

How interesting.

Thinking that, Kevin slowly untied the bandage. A faint Aura began to seep out through the oilcloth, and he could not help frowning slightly.

When he removed the oilcloth as well, an even denser Life Energy—or rather, Aura—washed over him.

Before him lay a slender bone, jade green in color. Through its bony surface, he could vaguely make out dense, crystal-like structures within.

It had to be said that, based on appearance alone, it absolutely qualified as a highly interesting collectible.

But the Aura it emitted was not to be underestimated. This meant that the bone's owner had possessed an incredibly powerful physique. Even after death, its bones still contained abundant Life Energy, allowing Aura to slowly leak from them.

In other words, the oilcloth and the outer bandage were actually meant to keep the Aura within the material from dissipating completely, preventing its Life Energy from being exhausted and leaving it as an ordinary object.

What shocked Kevin even more was that a powerful craving welled up within his body, stronger than it had ever been for any material before—far beyond what he had felt when he first saw that Shedding Horn.

"Whew..." Kevin took several deep breaths before he barely managed to calm the desire in his heart.

Jin had been carefully observing him from the side.

"The Aura on your body... Forget it, we'll talk about that later. What do you think of this [material]?"

"It's strong. Powerful is the only word I can use to describe it. It's so powerful that there's no way I can use it as a material anytime soon."

Just as he categorized potions by rank, Kevin also classified materials by rank.

Potions of the same rank did not necessarily need to be made entirely from materials of the same rank, but the main ingredient—the key material placed on the pan of a balance's Gold Scale—had to match the potion's rank.

Without question, the material in his hand was not of C-Rank quality.

Was it A-Rank? No. Although Kevin had assigned different ranks to materials, A-Rank should have been even more outrageous in his imagination.

This should be B-Rank, and undoubtedly the finest material among B-Rank materials.

With his current potential Aura capacity, he simply was not allowed to perform any operation involving it.

"Damn it, isn't this just deliberately tempting someone? I can see it, but I can't use it."

"Then I'll give it to you."

"Hm?" Kevin looked up at Jin in confusion.

"It no longer has much practical value to me. It's more of an ornamental item now, and I'm not interested in this sort of thing." Jin explained simply. "Consider it a little Gift from me."

As he spoke, he clapped his hands. "Consider it a Gift to help you gain the strength to protect yourself."

"What? You obviously just made up that reason."

"All right, don't fuss over such details." Jin waved a hand, then his eyes became bright as he looked toward the distant sky. "As a Ruin Hunter, I've spent all these years doing things according to my own interests.

"During that process, I discovered many secrets. Like the bone in your hand—it is actually a small section of a creature cub's finger bone."

"Then just how big was that creature?" Kevin murmured as he looked at the green-crystal-like bone, which he had wrapped up again.

"Most of those interesting creatures you looked up came here by crossing the seas sometime within the past thousand years. They came from the True World beyond the current Cognitive World." Jin's words made Kevin frown.

He had more or less guessed it already: the world Jin spoke of meant there were other worlds beyond this one.

After all, this world still had no clearly defined Boundary, so there had to be unexplored New Continents beyond it.

For top-tier Hunters like Jin, they surely had their own information channels through which they learned of such matters.

Given the current level of technological development, the fact that the most powerful forces had not organized teams to colonize those places could only mean that those so-called New Continents contained risks far greater than any potential gains.

Otherwise, a habitable land and an untouched continent would have been too tempting for those forces to refuse.

These were all judgments Kevin had made based on his understanding of this world.

It seemed Jin was about to reveal the answer to him now.
