"Let's go outside and give them some time to say goodbye," Jin said, rising to walk out of the cave.

Kevin looked at the Two-headed wolf on the verge of death before him and gently reached out to stroke its head.

As if sensing Kevin's touch, the head with the sharp horn bent slightly and rubbed against the back of his hand. It even stuck out its tongue and gave him two licks before drooping weakly again, quietly awaiting death's arrival.

"It really understands human nature." Kevin silently rose to his feet as well and headed out of the cave, leaving the Two-headed wolf family some peace and quiet.

At the cave entrance, Jin leaned against the stone wall.

Kevin stood at the entrance and looked into the distance. Several large trees bore holes that had pierced straight through them, yet they still stood tall and resilient, refusing to fall.

"Because of your own needs, you must have looked up all sorts of information online about Mysterious Beasts, Rare Beasts, and Demonic Beasts lately, right?" Jin asked.

Kevin nodded at the question. "Yeah. Because of Nen abilities, I'm especially interested in this sort of thing."

"Then what do you think of these creatures?"

There was nothing to hide here, so Kevin answered frankly, "They're amazing. I never expected that even in modern society, I'd get to learn about creatures that seem like they stepped straight out of stories."

After all, for the more than twenty years of his previous life, he had lived in nothing more than an ordinary, mundane world, one without such dreamlike and fantastical things.

"Mm, I see." Jin murmured softly. After a while, he suddenly tossed something toward Kevin.

Kevin caught it.

The object was roughly as long as his forearm and had considerable weight in his hand. It was tightly wrapped in oilcloth, with a layer of bandages wound around it.

More interestingly, the bandages bore extremely intricate yet orderly patterns. With his control over Nen abilities, Kevin could clearly sense a trace of Aura within those patterns.

"That's God Text, something created through knowledge, special written symbols and patterns, suitable Nen abilities, and refined Nen control techniques," Jin explained.

Hearing that, Kevin immediately lost interest. It clearly was not something an ordinary person could learn.

"Hey, don't look so down. There really are very few people who have mastered this technique, but if you work hard and give it a try, maybe you'll actually learn it someday?" Jin suddenly said with a grin, wearing an expression that made him look like a scammer.

"How long did it take you to learn this?"

"I'm still learning it now."

"Heh." Kevin could not help but complain. Then what the hell would I learn it for?

Still, if he got the chance, he could give it a try.

As long as it was something fantastical, something extraordinary, Kevin wanted to see it and try it.

How interesting.

Thinking that, Kevin slowly untied the bandages. A faint Aura began seeping through the oilcloth, and he could not help frowning slightly.

When he peeled away the oilcloth as well, an even denser life energy—or rather, Aura—washed over him.

Before his eyes lay a slender bone. It was emerald green, and through its bony surface, he could faintly make out dense, crystal-like structures within.

It had to be said that based on appearance alone, it was absolutely an exceptionally interesting collectible.

Yet the Aura it emitted was not to be underestimated. It meant that the owner of this bone had possessed an extraordinarily powerful physique. Even after death, its bones still contained immense life energy, which was why it could still be sensed slowly releasing Aura.

In other words, the oilcloth and outer bandages were actually meant to prevent the Aura in the material from dissipating completely, draining away its life energy and reducing it to an ordinary object.

What shocked Kevin even more was that his body surged with an intense craving, stronger than it had ever been when facing any material before—far surpassing the feeling he had experienced when he first saw that Shedding Horn.

"Whew..." Kevin took deep breaths for quite a while before he finally managed to calm the craving in his heart.

Jin had been watching him closely from the side.

"The Aura on your body... forget it. We'll talk about that later. What do you think of this [material]?"

"It's powerful. Powerful is the only word I can use to describe it. It's so powerful that there's no way I could use it as a material anytime soon."

Just as he classified potions by grade, Kevin also classified materials by grade.

Potions of the same grade did not necessarily need to be made entirely from materials of the same grade, but the main ingredient—the key material equivalent to what was placed on the pan of a Gold Scale—had to match the potion's grade.

Without question, the material in his hand was not of a quality a C-Rank material should possess.

Was it A-Rank? No. Although Kevin had assigned different grades to materials, in his conception, A-Rank should have been far more outrageous.

This should be B-Rank, and undoubtedly among the very best B-Rank materials.

With his current potential Aura capacity, he simply could not carry out any operations related to it.

"Damn it, isn't this deliberately tempting me? I can see it, but I can't use it."

"Then I'll give it to you."

"Hm?" Kevin looked up at Jin in confusion.

"It doesn't have much practical value to me anymore. It's more of an ornament now, and I'm not interested in this sort of thing." Jin explained simply. "Consider it a little Gift from me."

As he spoke, he clapped his hands once. "Consider it a Gift to help you gain the power to protect yourself."

"What? You obviously just came up with that reason on the spot."

"Alright, don't fuss over such trivial details." Jin waved his hand, then his gaze became bright as he looked toward the distant sky. "As a Ruin Hunter, I've spent all these years doing things according to my own interests.

"During that time, I discovered many secrets. Like the bone in your hand—it is actually a small section of a creature's finger bone from when it was a cub."

"Then just how huge must that creature have been?" Kevin muttered, looking at the Green Crystal-like bone he had wrapped back up.

"Most of those interesting creatures you looked up came here across the seas over the past thousand years. They came from the True World beyond the current Cognitive World." Jin's words made Kevin frown.

He had more or less guessed that what Jin meant was that there were worlds beyond this world.

After all, even now, this world had no clearly defined boundary. There had to be unexplored New Continents beyond it.

For top Hunters like Jin, they surely had their own information channels through which they knew such things.

Given the current level of technological development, the fact that the most powerful forces had not organized teams to colonize them could only mean that those so-called New Continents contained enormous risks far greater than their potential rewards.

Otherwise, a habitable landmass, a blank continent, would be too tempting for those powers to refuse.

Those were all judgments Kevin had made based on his understanding of this world.

It seemed that Jin was about to reveal the answer to him now.
