They also looked at Biscuit and the others as they spoke.
Everyone in the Martial Faction was like that, and even those outside it took an interest in combat.
The vast majority of humans were born with fighting in their blood, and plenty of them enjoyed it.
Especially among those who came to the Dark Continent, all of whom were exceptionally powerful, people like that made up a considerable proportion.
"You can sense the will to fight?"
Kevin murmured to himself and nodded slightly.
"Besides the all-important Grand Tournament, we hold various smaller competitions at other times, as well as competitive matches used to resolve disputes.
"These competitive matches are battles fought in various ways. Some have restrictions, while others have none, allowing participants to unleash their strength to the fullest."
Resolve disputes?
Kevin had gained a rough understanding of one of the Grand Tournament Arena's important functions.
If a serious dispute arose between two Lords and they fought to the death, damage to the environment was inevitable.
If both happened to possess powers capable of devastating large areas, they could certainly cause even more destruction than a Sand Worm swallowing everything.
And from what he now knew, counting both recognized and ordinary Lords, there were at least sixty throughout the Sky Overlord's territory.
Disputes were bound to arise.
Then there was the timescale to consider.
Over hundreds or thousands of years, who knew how many places would be destroyed?
This was one way to solve the problem.
"So the Grand Tournament Arena
