The Power of Each Dimension
"Oh, is that so? Then I'm relieved. I won't pay. You can go back now!" After receiving the Dimensional Debt Collector's reply, Robet finally felt more justified. He had been a little embarrassed to help at first, but now that their magic was malfunctioning, they wanted him to pay? Dream on!
As for how to settle Constantine's debt, Robet was even more adamant. "Constantine's debt? Go find him! Just because he transferred it to me doesn't mean it's mine! Where's the proof? I didn't use those Tracking Magic to track the target. What right do you have to come to me? I don't acknowledge your debt!"
"???" The Dimensional Debt Collector initially taken aback when he heard Robet's words. It was the first time he had ever heard someone speak to him so defiantly, and even more so, someone who refused to pay the price. This left the Dimensional Debt Collector completely bewildered.
It's important to understand that dimensional debt collection isn't limited to just Earth. The Magic Dimension behind the Tracking Magic isn't considered a top-tier dimension, not even within the general classification of Magic Dimension. Yet, it can still collect debts from all inhabited planets in the current universe.
Even so, this was the first time the Dimensional Debt Collector had heard Robet refuse in such a calm yet resolute manner. Did he really think their Magic Dimension was easy to bully? And could Robet guarantee that he wouldn't borrow the power of the Magic Dimension in the future?
"No one has ever dared to default on their debts to us!" But soon, the Dimensional Debt Collector came to his senses, and a powerful force erupted from his body. With the release of his power, Robet finally sensed the power behind the Tracking Magic.
It was a power that Robet had never sensed before. It contained a small portion of power attributes that Robet was familiar with, and a large portion of power attributes that Robet had never seen or heard of before. It seemed to be a mixture of many power attributes, and no single power was particularly strong...
However, the Dimensional Debt Collector is only mediocre. His aura is similar to that of the previous Shadow Demon King, which means he has reached the edge of the Demon King. He is not weak. Robet's current normal state is not a problem to fight such an enemy.
With a "whoosh!" sound, Robet felt as if his soul had left Earth. Seeing the Dimensional Debt Collector rushing towards him, Robet calmly fought the Dimensional Debt Collector while observing his surroundings.
This was a vast and boundless region, and it was Robet's first time appearing here. Robet vaguely sensed that there were some places filled with divine power hidden around him, and one of these divine powers was very similar to the divine power in Diana's body.
Further away, it seemed that even more terrifying dimensions were watching Earth with predatory eyes. Based on the information he had previously obtained, Robet deduced that his soul was currently located Inter-dimensional Space. Fortunately, he had arrived here in a soul state, because Robet was not sure if he could survive in this environment with his physical body.
While fighting the Dimensional Debt Collector, Robet's mind was racing. The main reason was that the Dimensional Debt Collector were indeed no match for him, and since this was his first time in this place, he naturally wanted to observe them carefully.
"It seems that these so-called pantheons closer to Earth are far less powerful than those in distant dimensions!" Robet quickly realized this fact, and his expression became serious.
Robet didn't know exactly how far these dimensions were from Earth, but Robet could vaguely sense how much pressure those dimensions exerted on him.
From the previous scene with Gabriel, we know that there are powerful beings on the same level as Clark among the many pantheons. Now, those dimensions are clearly more powerful than many of the pantheons, even much more powerful. However, because they are too far away, they don't even seem to belong to this universe, so it is not so easy for them to come over.
However, it's not that easy. The appearance of Dimensional Debt Collector, the descent of Angel, and the rampage of Demon from this dimension also show that these dimensions will always find a way to come to Earth!
With a loud "bang!", Robet decided to investigate the Dimensional Debt Collector's background and see how much he knew about those dimensions. So Robet blasted the Dimensional Debt Collector away with Ki Blast, and before the Dimensional Debt Collector could react, Robet flashed and launched a series of attacks that left the Dimensional Debt Collector helpless.
After this battle, Robet felt that the Dimensional Debt Collector was even weaker than the Shadow Demon King. At least the Shadow Demon King could act based on commands and instincts, but the Dimensional Debt Collector seemed to have no idea how to fight.
If you can't even fight, how can you possibly collect debts? Aren't you sure you won't get killed? Of course, the strength of Dimensional Debt Collector is still quite intimidating to targets below this level...
However, that raises a new problem...
"How could Constantine withstand such a method of debt collection? Or is it because it's been a while since he first used Tracking Magic?" Robet couldn't help but wonder. If Constantine could escape the pursuit of a powerhouse of this level, Robet could believe it to some extent, but this kind of debt collection obviously locks onto the target, right? How could Constantine possibly escape? Robet even suspected that the so-called Tracking Magic was evolved from debt collection!
Robet's thoughts raced, but he went a little softer, worried that if Robet killed the Dimensional Debt Collector on the spot, he wouldn't be able to find out what was going on.
Even so, the Dimensional Debt Collector collapsed sooner than Robet had imagined.
"Stop hitting me, or I'll die! I'm just an employee. If you had this ability, you should have said so earlier. If you had, I would have reported it and had someone else deal with you... no, I mean, had someone else come and have a proper talk with you..." Just as Robet had stopped fighting a little, he heard the voice of the Dimensional Debt Collector in his ear. The voice was full of helplessness and pleading, without a trace of the dignity of a strong person.
"So spineless?" Robet looked at the Dimensional Debt Collector with a somewhat blank expression, a thought flashing through his mind.
Although Robet felt that the strength of a Dimensional Debt Collector who barely reached the level of Demon King was nothing after sensing the powerful threats from various dimensions, this was still a Demon King, a realm that Valentine had once dreamed of reaching. Being afraid of death was understandable, but being this cowardly was a bit excessive, wasn't it?
"I'm just an employee, there's no benefit for me, there's really no need to risk my life!" As if sensing Robet's thoughts, the Dimensional Debt Collector looked at Robet helplessly and said, "I used to be a debtor in the Magic Dimension too. I probably couldn't repay my debts, so I became an employee in the Magic Dimension. If I had your strength back then, I could have easily become a middle manager..."
"Your Magic Dimension has even more powerful people?" Robet's eyes lit up as he looked at the Dimensional Debt Collector with anticipation. "Tell me about the strong individuals in your Magic Dimension!"
In Robet's view, since the Dimensional Debt Collector are so cowardly, he can take the opportunity to learn about the Magic Dimension and even more dimensions. So many powerful dimensions will not make Robet feel fear, but rather Robet.
If the strongest person in this world is really Robet's brother Clark, then Robet will find this world quite boring!
Fortunately, after experiencing so much and coming into contact with a new world, Robet realized that Clark's invincibility wasn't as invincible as it seemed, which made Robet even more excited.
However, when faced with Robet's question, the Dimensional Debt Collector looked at Robet with some confusion. He didn't quite understand why Robet was so excited, and he even suspected that Robet might be the legendary ruthless person who used entrapment to enforce the law!
Of course, the most crucial issue is that the Dimensional Debt Collector doesn't know how many powerful beings exist within his Magic Dimension...
"I was just a debtor in the past, working for free in the Magic Dimension. I don't know exactly how many powerful beings there are in the Magic Dimension, but my superiors are more powerful than me. My superiors have superiors, and my superiors have superiors..." After regaining his senses, the Dimensional Debt Collector looked at Robet cautiously as he spoke, afraid that if he didn't say something satisfactory, Robet would grab him and beat him up again.
The Dimensional Debt Collector had never experienced such a brutal beating before. He was just a minor mage with slightly special soul power, which was why the Magic Dimension had taken a liking to him. Not only did they want him to hand over his soul, but they also wanted him to work for them for eternity. The Magic Dimension was truly a capitalist!
"Then why don't you contact your superior?" Robet raised an eyebrow, glancing at the Dimensional Debt Collector with some disappointment. He hadn't expected this guy to be so useless, not only weak but also completely ineffective. "What's the strength of your superior?"
"If we use the standard Hell Dimension, it would probably be at the Demon King level?" the Dimensional Debt Collector asked Robet hesitantly.
"Aren't you also at the Demon King level? And why do you also use the standards of the Hell Dimension for classification?" Robet frowned, expressing his incomprehension. At least, although he had the most contact with the Hell Dimension, Robet had not felt that the Hell Dimension was that powerful!
"Isn't it because the Hell Dimension is powerful!" the Hell Debt Collector said matter-of-factly. "The Hell Dimension is among the top tier of all dimensions, and it's said that their leader doesn't restrict his subordinates from growing stronger. This has led to the birth of countless powerful individuals within the vast Hell Dimension. Therefore, many dimensions are willing to acknowledge the strength of the Hell Dimension when making their classifications..."
"How vast is the Hell Dimension?" Robet raised an eyebrow. He had only glimpsed the Hell Dimension before, but now it seemed he would have much more contact with Hell Dimension in the future!
"At least much larger than this universe!" The Dimensional Debt Collector pondered for a moment, then said softly, "It's said—and this is just hearsay—that most dimensions exist within a single universe, but some dimensions can exist within multiple universes, or even the entire Multiverse. The Hell Dimension seems to be such a dimension..."
"Is it that powerful?" Robet could accept this concept of the universe, because different universes and even different spacetimes existed in the Dragon Ball World, just not as many as there were.
"Yes, I can only barely be considered to have reached the level of Demon King, but my superior is a true Demon King. As for those above, I don't know. I'm just a lowly laborer..." The Dimensional Debt Collector nodded and looked at Robet with a wry smile.
At this point, the Dimensional Debt Collector is roughly like a low-level employee in a company. If Robet wants to ask him about the company's overall strength and the salaries of individual employees, he'll say the company is quite powerful and capable, and that he earns a certain amount, as does his team leader. But beyond that, the Dimensional Debt Collector knows nothing...
After all, those people wouldn't reveal their true strength to the Dimensional Debt Collector. They're not going to crush the Dimensional Debt Collector anyway, so what difference would a little more or less make?
"Alright, then contact your superior!" Hearing the Dimensional Debt Collector's words, Robet understood his situation. Robet nodded understandingly and smiled as he spoke to the Dimensional Debt Collector, wanting to obtain more information from the other party's superior.
After all, the Dimensional Debt Collector's superior was only at the Demon King level. Robet conservatively estimated that he could deal with someone two levels higher than the Dimensional Debt Collector, who would be considered mid-level and would allow Robet to obtain more information...
"Even if I contact him, my boss won't come immediately..." The Dimensional Debt Collector looked at Robet somewhat awkwardly and said, "But don't worry, as long as your debts aren't cleared, we dimensional people will still find you. You should have experienced the power of Tracking Magic before..."
"So how should the debt be eliminated?" Robet raised an eyebrow and asked the Dimensional Debt Collector.
"Equivalent exchange, an equivalent exchange that conforms to our dimensional rules can eliminate it. If you are unwilling to hand over your soul power, you can actually kill a Demon King of similar strength to me and give him his soul to us, which can also eliminate it, and there might even be some left over. Of course, transfer is also possible; we will accept the transfer of this debt to someone else..." The Dimensional Debt Collector seemed somewhat afraid of Robet, and he looked at Robet expectantly as he spoke, as if he wanted Robet.
"Is that so?" Robet nodded knowingly. He had gained a better understanding of the relationship between magic and debt, and he also roughly understood how Constantine had previously avoided those magical debts.
The chapter from noon will be a little later.
