Trump Card and Defeat
With a "whoosh," a Destructo Disc condensed in Robet's hand and slashed towards All-Father Odin. Having witnessed the Destructo Disc before, All-Father Odin's pupils contracted slightly, and his divine power erupted, attempting to force Clark back. But how could Clark give All-Father Odin the chance?
Clark gripped the Gungnir tightly, preventing All-Father Odin from retreating an inch, and helped Robet pinpoint All-Father Odin's location. At that moment, the Destructo Disc roared in, aiming for All-Father Odin's head!
Even though Robet had discovered that Frigga wasn't afraid of such fatal wounds when dealing with Frigga —that she wouldn't die as long as Asgard existed— Robet still habitually aimed for vital points when fighting All-Father Odin...
With a "whoosh!" sound, just as the Destructo Disc was about to strike All-Father Odin's head, one of All-Father Odin's eyes suddenly emitted a terrifying divine light!
It wasn't All-Father Odin's perfectly intact eye, but rather the eye beneath his eyepatch that appeared to be blind!
The eye patch on one eye disappeared, and at the same time, a mysterious power flickered in the eye, as if a towering tree was shining in that eye. As divine light was released from this eye, everything around seemed to slow down, or perhaps it would be more accurate to describe it as still!
But as the surroundings fell silent, All-Father Odin, did not make any significant moves. He merely glanced at the state of Asgard, then at Frigga, who was injured once again, and then at Clark and Robet. His gaze shifted from anger to sorrow, and finally, he slowly closed his eyes.
With a "crack!", the flow of time returned to normal, the Destructo Disc Slash shattered on the spot, and All-Father Odin, seemed to have aged a few years. Clark and Robet were forced back as if some force had driven them away.
"Huh?!" Robet and Clark Central City both shocked. Clark seemed to have seen something, while Robet vaguely sensed a power. But after they were forced back, everything returned to normal. All-Father Odin, was still wearing his blindfold. Except for the disappearance of the Destructo Disc, and the fact that Clark and Robet were forced back, it was as if nothing had happened.
"That's enough, Kryptonian," All-Father Odin, said calmly, looking at Clark and Robet. "Continuing this fight will only result in mutual destruction. I may not be able to kill you, but killing them both should be no problem..."
"Is this the end? Are you satisfied?" Clark paused for a moment after hearing All-Father Odin's words. Clark hadn't been too worried about his own safety, nor was Clark particularly concerned about Robet's. Although he didn't know what Robet had gone through, Robet's current strength was probably even greater than Carol's, and he was more than capable of protecting himself.
The only outsider in Asgard to worry about is actually Diana, who came to help. Among all the combat-capable members, her strength is definitely the weakest...
However, after All-Father Odin, unleashed a power that Clark couldn't comprehend, Clark became wary. Faced with All-Father Odin's apparent intention to cease fighting, Clark was also tempted, because continuing the battle would make it difficult to kill All-Father Odin, not to mention that All-Father Odin's trump card might kill Robet and Diana.
However, Clark couldn't be sure how strong All-Father Odin's desire to cease hostilities was. After all, Asgard was in a truly dire situation. Bringing Robet to Asgard to fight, instead of sending him to the spatial realm, was undoubtedly the worst decision Asgard had ever made, even worse than going to war with Clark and Robet.
First, the gateway to Asgard has been nearly destroyed, with one wall even blasted through, exposing the Spatial Turbulence of the void.
Secondly, there's the Bifrost. The once-solid Bifrost has been blasted into pieces by Robet, and the moat of Asgard below has also been destroyed, its flow diverted...
Finally, there's the issue of Asgard's casualties. When Clark entered, he didn't know exactly how many people Robet had killed, but seeing that there wasn't a single soldier among Asgard, and with severed limbs and weapons scattered around, Clark knew that Asgard's fighting force had likely been wiped out by Robet!
This doesn't even include Heimdall, the powerful figure who appeared before, or the grudges against Loki and Frigga. Even Clark himself felt that All-Father Odin, was unlikely to let go of this hatred, especially since All-Father Odin clearly still had trump cards up his sleeve.
From Clark's perspective, since the war has already begun and both sides are fighting like madmen, there's no need to hold back anymore. Let's fight to the death and see who has the superior skills to survive.
However, Clark was mistaken about one thing: compared to All-Father Odin, the All-Father Odin was the one wearing shoes. All-Father Odin had a vast territory and was fighting on his own land. If they continued fighting like this, there would only be two possible outcomes.
In the first scenario, All-Father Odin, achieves final victory, but at a great cost, kills all three, including Clark. However, Asgard would certainly not be spared. Given Robet's destructive power, if no one intervenes, the Devastation Asgard is only a matter of time.
At that point, Asgard will be left with only All-Father Odin, as his lonely family, and Heimdall and Loki, wandering the universe, their fates unknown. Add to that Thor, who has been successfully brainwashed by Hydra on Earth. As for Frigga, she probably won't survive either. Without Asgard, Frigga won't be able to hold out against Robet for long...
As for the second scenario, it would be even worse: All-Father Odin, would use his trump card but fail to defeat Clark. Instead, Klara would turn the tables and kill Clark, and Asgard would likely be destroyed.
Neither of these two scenarios is acceptable to All-Father Odin!
The first scenario is a Pyrrhic victory, where the entire Asgard pantheon starts from scratch. The second is the complete extinguishing of the Asgard flame. With Heimdall and Loki, whose survival is uncertain, and Thor, brainwashed by Hydra and intent on destroying the Divine Realm, reviving Asgard would be utterly impossible, especially in the second scenario where All-Father Odin, has no chance to help Thor regain his powers or break free from the brainwashing...
"I, Odin, am not one to go back on my word. I said this is the end, and this is the end!" Therefore, no matter how angry or unwilling he was, All-Father Odin, had no other choice. This is why All-Father Odin's expression was somewhat sorrowful earlier.
Asgard today seems to be no longer the Asgard that once ruled the Nine Realms, was renowned throughout the universe, and was feared by many forces in the universe!
Even All-Father Odin, questioned whether his decision to reduce Asgard's army to its current state, and even to bring Asgard a long period of peace, free from war and pressure, transforming it into a Utopia, was the right one...
However, All-Father Odin, had no time to ponder these questions. He could not allow the battle to continue. Robet had indeed killed many Asgardian Soldiers and nobles, but compared to the vast population of Asgard, it was not a great many. All-Father Odin, did not want to see his remaining people perish because of this battle...
"Is this the end?" Robet raised an eyebrow upon hearing All-Father Odin's words. He no longer trusted All-Father Odin's credibility, after all, All-Father Odin had turned on him in the blink of an eye before. The start of the entire war was not because of them. Mjolnir, Thor, and Loki, the catalyst, were all Asgard!
"I will never set foot on Earth again. Anything that happens on Earth after this will be none of my concern!" All-Father Odin, took a deep breath and looked at Robet, saying this. At this moment, Robet, who possessed the power to Devastation Asgard, was someone All-Father Odin, had to take seriously.
"Nothing on Earth has anything to do with you?" A hint of surprise flashed in Clark's eyes. Based on the available information, All-Father Odin, can be considered Earth's Guardian in the universe. It's impossible to say that Earth's current stable environment is entirely due to Asgard, but there must be some influence from Asgard.
Clark understood the subtext in All-Father Odin's words: Earth would no longer be Asgard's sanctuary!
Of course, whether or not it provides protection is not really important. After all, Asgard has already been defeated by the Kent Brothers this time, so it's really embarrassing to say that it is still the protector of Earth.
However, Clark quickly realized a new problem: Thor and Mjolnir were still on Earth. Had All-Father Odin, abandoned them?
"After Thor finishes his trials, he will return to Asgard and will never set foot on Earth again!" All-Father Odin, seemed to know what Clark was thinking. He took a deep breath and made concessions once again.
Even though neither side has truly emerged victorious yet, to be honest, Asgard and All-Father Odin, are definitely at a disadvantage. Robet could Devastation Asgard, but All-Father Odin, even if he wanted to Devastation Earth, couldn't, because the Ancient One is still protecting it...
Therefore, even though it seemed somewhat humiliating, All-Father Odin, truly had no other choice. He could only send Clark and the other two away, ending this battle he had initiated in a rather anticlimactic manner.
At this moment, All-Father Odin, felt that his earlier decision to prevent Asgard from continuing the war was not wrong. Because of one defeat, Asgard had fallen into such a predicament. Who could guarantee that Asgard would not lose a single battle in thousands of years of fighting?
All-Father Ard now believes that his only mistake was going to war with Clark and Robet. Going back further, he realized it was failing to properly train Thor and Loki. If he had trained either of them correctly, the current situation wouldn't have occurred...
"Is it over already?" Robet felt a little unsatisfied upon hearing All-Father Odin's words. He had finally reached the Super Saiyan: Mimicry level, but hadn't even fought a real powerhouse yet, and it was ending like this. It was truly a bit unsatisfying.
However, if Robet were still in his previous angry state, he could indeed rush up and fight All-Father Odin, and try to truly transform into Super Saiyan.
Robet is no longer in a state of rage. He is now strong enough to completely overwhelm Frigga, but he is still no match for All-Father Odin. His attacks are only enough to pose a slight threat to All-Father Odin.
The one who truly has to fight All-Father Odin, is Clark. Therefore, whether this battle continues can only be decided by Clark and All-Father Odin.
"Then let's call a truce! But how should we get back?" Just as Robet was muttering to himself, Clark, who was standing next to him, looked at All-Father Odin, and nodded, asking the question.
"I can use the Bifrost to send you back..." All-Father Odin, paused for a moment, looking at the Gungnir in his hand as he spoke, his sorrow growing even more pronounced.
Not far away, Frigga, who had recovered, also had a look of sorrow and resentment in her eyes, but she did not stop All-Father Odin All-Father Odin. This was not only because Asgard, but also because Frigga knew that Asgard had indeed fallen and no longer had the ability to take revenge.
"To be honest, we don't really trust the teleportation capabilities of the Bifrost..." Clark shook his head upon hearing All-Father Odin's words. The Bifrost was controlled by All-Father Odin; who knew where All-Father Odin might teleport them to?
One should not harbor malicious intent, but one must be wary of others. Moreover, they are already enemies of All-Father Odin. The current truce is only due to their overwhelming strength, which makes All-Father Odin wary and unwilling to fight to the death. The level of trust between the two sides is not that high.
"I can contact the Ancient One!" All-Father Odin's expression remained unchanged, but his grip on the Gungnir tightened slightly, giving Clark an answer.
With a "whoosh!" sound, a ring of fire quickly appeared in Asgard, and the Ancient One appeared in the ring of fire, looking at the miserable state of Asgard with some amazement.
The Ancient One had visited Asgard before, and as the Guardian of Earth, the Sorcerer Supreme's lineage had a fairly good relationship with Asgard, which could be described as a relationship of competition and cooperation.
Therefore, the Ancient One clearly remembered what Asgard looked like before. Now, the surrounding environment is ravaged and riddled with holes, making the entire Asgard realm much more vulnerable. This undoubtedly proves that Asgard was defeated in this battle, and it also means that she, as the loser, needs to fulfill the bet between her and Wanda...
"Why bother?" Ancient One sighed as she looked at All-Father Odin.
"..." All-Father Odin, did not answer. What could he say? He could only say that when he learned of Loki's accident, All-Father Odin, acted impulsively, along with Frigga.
