Stretched Thin and Frequent Incidents

"Looks like we really are the unlucky ones, huh?" After setting the billboard back in place, Kara blinked at Robet and said with some amusement, "Still, this level of bad luck might be dangerous for ordinary people, but for us, it doesn't seem like it can do much, right?"

"I don't know either. I didn't sense any kind of power, whether on a mental level or material energy..." Robet scratched his head and looked at Kara helplessly. "Contact Tony and see if they've run into anything like this!"

Robet was just as confused about what had happened. He could not feel any supernatural power acting on him or Kara. It was as if he and Kara really had just been unlucky, and that bad luck had even dragged in the waitress from earlier. Even so, Robet still felt that things definitely were not that simple!

Soon, Robet and Kara flew toward Avengers Base, but neither of them knew that while the two of them had been encountering unlucky incidents, countless people across Earth had suffered misfortune as well.

Among them, the luckier ones only had minor bumps and scrapes. Yes, that already counted as lucky. As for the unlucky ones, they died on the spot. Either their corpses were especially gruesome and horrifying, or they did not even leave a corpse behind at all...

Clark, who had originally been helping those official organizations work with the Avengers to uphold justice, naturally noticed some of these unlucky incidents. The problem was that even with Clark's strength, he had no way of appearing in every corner of Earth at the same time.

And besides, these unlucky incidents had no warning signs at all. Clark had no way to predict them in advance, especially when he was not at the scene...
