Uchiha Nan revealed a cruel smile, raised the ninja sword in his hand, and charged at Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Hiruzen Sarutobi had exhausted his old strength before new strength could rise. As he watched Uchiha Nan close in, panic filled his heart.
He desperately wanted to speed up his evasive movements, but Uchiha Nan had shifted behind him in the blink of an eye.
"Rip!"
Blood splattered!
A wound was sliced across Hiruzen Sarutobi's back, but it was not fatal. Uchiha Nan had deliberately held back; killing Hiruzen Sarutobi in one stroke would have been a waste.
"Aah!!!"
Hiruzen Sarutobi let out a scream and instantly collapsed to the ground, but he still refused to resign himself to his fate.
I haven't become Hokage yet. I haven't fulfilled my teacher's final wish. How can I fall here!
Hiruzen Sarutobi steeled himself and struggled to rise, but Uchiha Nan gave him no chance, slashing him again.

Listening to the screams, Uchiha Nan felt delighted. Mercy toward an enemy was cruelty toward oneself.
Shimura Danzō stood among the crowd, tears already streaming down his face. His good brother was being tortured by Uchiha Nan and was about to die before his eyes.

Uchiha Nan turned around and gave Shimura Danzō a meaningful smile, as if he had long known that Shimura Danzō would step out to launch a sneak attack.

Uchiha Nan was delighted. What fun was there in killing Hiruzen Sarutobi alone? At the very least, Hiruzen Sarutobi needed company on the road to Yomi!
Shimura Danzō was the best candidate!

Hyuga Takuma shouted furiously. Someone had actually launched a sneak attack from behind. Which clan did he belong to?

Uchiha Nan kicked away Hiruzen Sarutobi's obstructing hand and looked toward Shimura Danzō.
Hiruzen Sarutobi's blood-covered face turned toward Shimura Danzō. He could not understand why Shimura Danzō had stepped out to throw his life away.
Shimura Danzō gave Hiruzen Sarutobi a smile, then charged at Uchiha Nan with a kunai in hand, intending to fight him in close combat.
Was he trying to get himself killed?
Uchiha Nan laughed soundlessly. Shimura Danzō's actions were no different from a moth flying into a flame. He looked as though he was wholeheartedly seeking death; no matter what, he would not leave Konoha today.
Clang! Clang! Clang!!!
The ninja sword and kunai collided and scraped repeatedly, scattering sparks everywhere. At first, Shimura Danzō could still withstand Uchiha Nan's attacks, but gradually he began to flounder and could no longer keep up with Uchiha Nan's speed.
"Rip!"
The blade tore through the air with a roar, cutting Shimura Danzō. Uchiha Nan immediately followed with a kick that sent him flying.
Shimura Danzō was kicked away and rolled continuously until he came to a stop beside Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"This game can end now."
Uchiha Nan lowered his sword. Lava Release: Spiraling Shuriken appeared out of thin air in his hand, and he intended to use this strike to send Shimura Danzō and Hiruzen Sarutobi to meet the Sage of Six Paths.
Shimura Danzō would become a madman in the future. He could carve Reverse Four Symbols Sealing onto his own body just so that, when his life force ran dry, he could perish together with his enemy.
Uchiha Nan did not know whether Shimura Danzō was already that insane.
To be safe, he should use Lava Release: Spiraling Shuriken to kill them.
There was no bridge here!
"Sayonara!"
Uchiha Nan gave Hiruzen Sarutobi and Shimura Danzō a gentle smile, hoping they would have happy lives in their next reincarnation.
