Finally back in the village!

After settling matters in the Land of Fire, Uchiha Nan hurried back to Konoha without stopping.

He had left Konoha just one day after taking office as Hokage, and he was worried someone in the village might try something behind his back.

He had even hired a carriage specifically to take care of Kaede and Suzu.

After all, they were just ordinary people. They had no ability to leap across rooftops or travel by hopping through the trees.

However, Uchiha Nan did not make a grand entrance at the Hokage Office. He planned to head home first, settle Kaede and Suzu in, and keep beauties in a golden house!

Social death was inevitable sooner or later, but remember: if you could hide until the fifteenth, never die on the first!

Unfortunately, heaven did not grant his wish.

Uchiha Nan had forgotten to take off his clothes. The Haori he wore was simply too conspicuous, and Uchiha Tomita spotted him immediately.

"Lord Uchiha Nan, you're back?"

Uchiha Tomita's face lit up with delight as he immediately came over.

"Mm, I'm back. I'm back."

Uchiha Nan answered, not intending to linger with Uchiha Tomita here as he headed straight home.

"What's in the carriage?"

"Gifts, gifts! Gifts the Daimyo gave me!"

"That many?"

"The Daimyo was just too generous. Nothing I could do about it!"

Uchiha Nan lowered his head and quickened his pace.

"Hey! You lot over there, why are you so oblivious? Help the Clan Head take the carriage, and move the gifts the Daimyo sent into the Clan Head's home while you're at it."

Uchiha Tomita called out to several young Uchiha men passing by.

How could such trivial matters as driving a carriage and carrying things waste Uchiha Nan's time?

Uchiha Tomita was also anxious to reconcile the accounts with Uchiha Nan and properly put the extra 1 billion ryo into the clan's books.

1 billion ryo was no small sum. Even the clan's professional accountants would need time to falsify the accounts, and all the transaction receipts required Uchiha Nan, the Hokage, to stamp them.

"Yes, Lord Tomita!"

"Coming!"

The cool young men hurried over eagerly. Being able to do something for Uchiha Nan was exactly what they wanted.

They did not even give Uchiha Nan a chance to refuse before grabbing the carriage reins.

Uchiha Nan gripped the reins tightly and repeatedly waved them off.

But in the eyes of the young men, that was merely a token refusal.

"Clan Head, what gifts did the Daimyo send? The carriage is packed full!"

What Uchiha Nan had feared most happened. One of the young men opened the curtain out of curiosity.

"Ah!"

Kaede and Suzu clung tightly to each other. Uchiha Nan had instructed them not to speak without his permission, and his stern expression had frightened the sisters. They had been nervous the whole way, and the sudden sound of so many voices made them press even closer together.

Gifts?

These were the gifts the Daimyo had sent?

The young Uchiha men nearly popped their eyes out when they saw the twin sisters in the carriage.

Clan Head, you sure knew how to play!

It was over!

Uchiha Nan's heart died. His integrity shattered all over the ground.

"Clan Head, I..."

Cold sweat poured down Uchiha Tomita's back. Even if someone beat him to death, he would never have imagined that these were the gifts Uchiha Nan meant.

Was he going to be silenced?

"What are you looking at? Put the curtain down!"

"Get the hell out of here, all of you!"

Uchiha Nan flew into a rage and immediately started chasing them away. The young men naturally could not wait to leave this dangerous place, and they all fled at top speed.

"Tomita, you stay."

Uchiha Nan's words were like a demon's whisper, stopping Uchiha Tomita just as he was about to make a run for it.

"Lord Uchiha Nan, is there anything else?"

"Prepare a large bed for me. The kind that can sleep three people."

Since things had already come to this, he might as well pursue the thrill to the end. Uchiha Nan decided to go all in, and he had to provide an explanation for Kaede and Suzu's identities anyway.

As Hokage, every move he made drew attention. He could not hide it for long even if he wanted to.

"Yes, Lord Uchiha Nan!"

Uchiha Tomita inwardly sighed that Uchiha Nan truly was young. His energy was simply boundless!

He himself had already entered middle age, and there was no need to mention the unspeakable troubles of middle-aged men.

Uchiha Tomita had originally wanted to leave immediately, but since Uchiha Nan had stopped him, he decided to say certain things now and save trouble later.

As Hokage and Clan Head of the Uchiha, Uchiha Nan possessed noble blood and already had two Kekkei Genkai. He should marry a wife from within the clan.

Only then could their children preserve the bloodline's purity to the greatest extent, and their talent would naturally be at its best.

As long as Uchiha Nan gave the word, Uchiha Tomita could immediately select young beauties from throughout the clan and have one marry Uchiha Nan at once!

The clan elders had actually been urging this already. Those with granddaughters were especially eager. They could not delay any longer—when they were Uchiha Nan's age, their children could already call them Dad.

Uchiha Nan waved his hand, not intending to argue with Uchiha Tomita over this. Kaede and Suzu had been unexpected to begin with; if not for that deranged task's reward, he would never have accepted them.

But they really were irresistible!

As for a future wife or anything like that, he would just go with the flow. As long as she was pretty, that was enough. Uchiha Nan had not thought that far ahead.

Seeing that Uchiha Nan had no objections, Uchiha Tomita went off with peace of mind to prepare the large bed.

After settling Kaede and Suzu in, Uchiha Nan and Uchiha Tomita returned to the Hokage Building to work. They planned to stamp the approval slips for the falsified accounts in advance, as requested by the Minister of Finance of the Land of Fire, to avoid trouble later.

"How much?"

"How much do you think?"

"2 billion!"

Uchiha Tomita dropped into his chair with a slap. The extra 1 billion had already been an unexpected windfall, but now it had doubled again.

"Calm down!"

Uchiha Nan waved his hand, telling Uchiha Tomita not to get so worked up. Why did he look like he had never seen the world?

Only after visiting the Ministry of Finance of the Land of Fire did Uchiha Nan realize just how greedy and skilled at amassing wealth those damned vermin were.

Commercial tax evasion alone could support another Konoha village, and that did not even include land taxes, the biggest source of revenue.

Make money, make money, keep making money!

Without money, there was no way to develop.

To complete the Gacha Wheel's mission, he had to find every possible way to make money. Relying solely on the Land of Fire's funding offered no hope of realizing the Konoha Dream. Making ninjas from other villages willing to become rogue ninjas just to join Konoha was no ordinary requirement.

He had to turn Konoha into America before countless ninjas seeking a better life would come flocking to it!
