Once the proclamation was issued and read aloud by the guards, the island quickly erupted into chaos.
The islanders' reaction was actually not that great. Although everyone discussed it heatedly, they truly did not care all that much about who became emperor.
They had to remember that the war had not even completely ended a few years ago.
Any citizen who was a little older had already lived through several emperors in his lifetime and did not care if one more was replaced.
