Whatever the enemy intended to do at this point, they would simply continue with their own affairs and pay it no mind.

When the energy channel had opened earlier, the first batch of logistical supplies had been sent over along with the transfer of the population.

This first batch of supplies was still focused mainly on food. That had been arranged from the very beginning, primarily because they feared the enemy's army might surround the city and cut off their supply lines. Thus, they intended to stockpile a certain amount of grain inside the city first, just in case.

In the meantime, only a week had passed since the first batch of residents was sent away, yet the number of people lining up to receive porridge had been steadily increasing.

Clearly, more and more people in Yellow Sand City had run out of surplus food at home.

That was only natural. Yellow Sand City itself had little ability to produce grain, and the food that normally supported the entire city's population was basically transported from the large grain-producing cities in the rear.

Now that Zhou Xu and the others had captured the city, all four gates were tightly shut and the city had entered a state of war readiness. The food inside the city would only grow scarcer.
