Background / History

Mia previously served in the Federation military’s 24th Legion under Legion Commander Artemis. During the disastrous Black Flame Star Defense Line battle, Artemis was killed and the 24th Legion was annihilated; only a small number of retreating survivors, including Umuto, remained. Artemis left her V-generation Mecha, Blood Red Angel, to Mia. The battle and other traumatic memories—including events in a laboratory—continue to affect her deeply. 433

By the time Su Ming enrolls at Imperial Court Academy, Mia is the instructor of Mecha Class 23. She makes an infamous first impression by arriving late, drunk, and dressed unprofessionally, initially showing little interest in conventional teaching. 100 101
