After consolidating his strength, Zhang Qingyuan traveled to Immortal City to investigate the Immortal Scriptures and confront the Blood Demon Sect. He uncovered the sect’s secret plan beneath the city and became its target as the plot neared completion.

• Zhang Qingyuan reviewed his victory over Lu Shijie and Fan Gongliang, found the Five Elements Core Pill among their spoils, and secluded himself to refine his gains.
• After five years of cultivation, Zhang Qingyuan left the Cave Heaven Secret Realm, eased the beast tide threatening Qingyang Pass, and helped Yue Lingyun and Yue Wenhe improve their cultivation.
• Zhang Qingyuan intervened when Lei Shiyuan and Blood Demon Sect cultivators attacked Murong Lan, killed two sect members, and fought Lei Wanhong until the Lei Family ancestor fled.

Zhang Qingyuan saved Old Ancestor Murong from the Blood Demon Sect, but their assault destroyed Immortal City and exposed the ruins of Demon City. He entered the White Bone Sea with Little Fire, killed Lie Feng, and began drawing power from the Heavenly Demon Blood Pool’s heart.

• Murong Pengxian betrayed Old Ancestor Murong, but Zhang Qingyuan intervened, killed the Fourth Protector, and defeated the Great Protector’s final attack.
