The man who had been pinned to the ground mistook the current that had paralyzed him for some kind of Secret Method or Divine Ability...
You had to understand, aboard this bizarre ship, every living being had been sealed off from their powers and abilities, reduced to the weakest kind of ordinary person. Everyone was in the same boat. If someone could still use Divine Abilities or Secret Methods, one could imagine how shocking that would be to everyone aboard!
Not one person aboard the ship was ordinary—at least, they hadn't been ordinary before coming aboard. The current that had appeared on Jiang Nan might have been insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but on this ship, it could very well hold the key to the ship's secrets, or even to escaping. One could imagine how unsettled this man, trapped aboard for who knew how long, must have felt.
He stared fixedly at Jiang Nan, desperate to get an answer from him. He was so fixated that he subconsciously ignored his own predicament.
Jiang Nan's mouth twitched. If only I could still use Divine Abilities or Secret Methods. Too bad that's not the case.
Crouching beside the restrained man, Jiang Nan asked, "Senior, can we talk properly now?"
"Answer me! Answer me right now! Why can you still use Divine Abilities and Secret Methods? Why?" The man on the ground stared at Jiang Nan, paying no attention at all to what he'd been asked. His face twisted into a nearly savage expression as he roared.
He was desperate to know the answer. Living aboard this ship was worse than death. If he hadn't still held on to the hope of leaving, he would have given up on life long ago. Right now, he couldn't care less about anything else.
