The Main Universe.

The Gods silently watched a corner of the starry sky. It was a star system filled with Biological Factories. Enormous Biological Factories towered across the planetary surface, their frameworks and exoskeletons supporting fragile flesh-and-blood creations and giving the entire planet a lifelike sense of motion.

Before the Fusion Experiment between the Zerg and humanity, the Empire had very few Biological Factories. Aside from producing a few specialized products, most were purely experimental.

But after the Fusion World ended, large numbers of citizens activated the Shapeshifter trait. Factories of this kind began appearing in great numbers, gradually becoming part of the social system.

Gene Ascension, one of the three great paths of evolution, had the major advantage of being inexpensive. With only the simplest materials, it could quickly produce finished products without requiring lengthy industrial Production Lines, so it was welcomed by quite a few members of the Entrepreneurial Team.
