"Wang Zhihe, what inheritance do you want?"

After Liang Ji chose his inheritance, their homeroom teacher, Teacher Du, asked the second-place student, Wang Zhihe.

Wang Zhihe clearly had already picked his target. He answered without hesitation.

Hearing this, Teacher Du nodded. "Your Swamp Serpentfolk paired with the 'Mud Doll Inheritance' would indeed be a perfect match."

"Peng Yue, what about you? What inheritance do you want?"

The teacher turned to Peng Yue, who had come first in this exam, and asked with a smile.

"Teacher, I heard the school has the first three levels of the 'Nine-tailed Snake Inheritance.'"

Instead of immediately choosing, Peng Yue asked her homeroom teacher.

Teacher Du looked at her and nodded. "It does. Did your grandmother tell you?"

After saying goodbye to his homeroom teacher, Liang Ji left the office and saw that Peng Yue and Wang Zhihe, who had left earlier, were still waiting outside.

"I want you to give me your all in the Second Mock Exam and help me win first place in the Ten-School Joint Exam!"

Peng Yue answered directly.

Unlike the First Mock Exam, the Second Mock Exam focused on actual combat. The students wouldn't be examined individually.

Liang Ji immediately understood what she meant. She wanted the first three levels of the 'Nine-tailed Snake Inheritance' that the teacher had promised to award.

"Wait, wouldn't placing in the top three be enough?"

He asked in confusion.

Peng Yue raised her brows. "If I'm going to compete, I'm going for first place! I want the school to feel that awarding the first three levels of the 'Nine-tailed Snake Inheritance' is worth it."

Liang Ji was a little surprised. Only then did he realize that beneath Peng Yue's cool exterior was a proud, fiercely competitive heart.
