For a Life Star, the Star Spirit Vein was undoubtedly its most important foundation, the source of its essence. It was also the most precious and valuable treasure the Life Star contained.
The Star Alliance forbade Star Lords and cultivators from destroying Life Stars, whether they were within the Star Alliance or discovered in the Outer Domain Star Sea. As a result, even a first-tier Star Spirit Vein could fetch an astronomical price within the Star Alliance and be put to many uses.
For instance, the "artificial stars" the Star Alliance had once tried to create required Star Spirit Veins to be refined into them. Though the project had failed, its byproducts—the cities suppressing the black holes at the centers of starfields across the Star Alliance—still needed Star Spirit Veins refined into them.
