Tang Chen returned after being believed dead, appearing at Soul Severing Slope as a Level 99 Limit Douluo with the Asura Blood Sword. His return gave Tang Hao, Tang Xun, and Tang San hope after the destruction of the Clear Sky Sect, while terrifying the surrounding Titled Douluo. He immediately attacked Ye Xian to avenge his bloodline and sect, injuring him with an Asura Blood Sword Slash infused with the Law of Slaughter. 50

His restored sanity and strength came at a cost: the Asura God had granted him only three months to find a successor for the Nine Trials of Asura. Seeing Tang Hao as the most viable candidate, Tang Chen chose to lead him to the City of Slaughter and use its slaughter energy to help him master the Asura Blood Sword. 51 55
